I've been in a relationship with my boyfriend for a little over a year and a half. Our relationship is kinda unstable because we have Venus square Uranus in our synastry and Venus opp. Uranus in our composite as well as Sun opp. Uranus. I just would like some opinions on our composite chart. Do we have a good one? Is it worth hanging on for the ride? I'm in so deeply in love with him and I'm really want things to work. I would greatly appreciate it! http://www.astro.com/tmpd/calzfileRnQpb6-u1444107493/astro_621gw_02_01_greg_shy.4251.9516.gif?47338

Hi JOG,

Your best bet for a reply is to go to Interpersonal Astrology, one of the other sites, and they should be able to help you. Oh, and welcome

Welcome Journey_of_Gemini!

The simplest way (and you can do it yourself) is to use the AstroClick Partner from astro.com.

However this is based on the Composite chart (midpoint method). In my experience, the Davison Relationship Chart is a much better representation of a relationship. I also say this because all transits and progressions I studied were "aligned" with the Davison Chart not with the composite chart. Just my opinion. Here is how to get it (and you can save it too, so you can run transits and progressions on it).

Good luck!

Thank you I'm very familiar with the AstroClick Partner. I've went over it a few times. And I'm looking at the Davison Chart now. What is it, how it it different from our composite? I just wanted to know despite our Uranus aspects, does our other aspects balance things out, are we going to last, is there something we're supposed to learn from this etc? I just really wanted the opinions of others that's all.

You're welcome!

The composite chart is created by taking the midpoint of every placement in the two charts: the composite ASC is the midpoint between your ascendant and the partner's ascendant... and so on for every single planet, cusp, etc. So if your ASC is at 01Ari00 and the partner's ASC is at 01Gem00, then the composite ASC will be at 01Tau00. It's a theoretical chart, if you want.

The Davison represents the chart of a real moment and place. It is based on the midpoint between the two people's birthdays/birthtimes and located at the geographical midpoint between the two places of birth. So if one was born on Jan 1st at midnight and the other on Jan 3rd at midnight, the chart would be based on Jan 2nd, midnight. Same for location. You'd interpret it the same way as the composite. Chances are, the Davison will look quite differently from the composite.

I hope this helps.

Thank you so much. So lastly, theoretically to see how our relationship effects us as individuals. Could I compare our Davison Charts to each of our natals????

I've never done that, but let me think. If the age of the two people is very close, then all you'll find will be some placements very similar to your own (except perhaps for the Sun and the Moon). I would expect than the synastry between the partners would better answer your last question.

This being said, I've never done this, so please, feel free to experiment and let us know what you found. I could be wrong.

Cheers!
