Hi,I have a question on the subject of Solar Return charts. Looking at my solar return chart for year 2016/2017 (I was born on 27th Dec) and using London as reference place because I lived there for good 15 years, I get a chart that has prominent 6th and 8th houses. Mars and Venus - in 8th house. Sun, Mercury and Pluto - in 6th. I got worried as soon as I saw these planet placements because immediately what springs to mind is death (8th house) and health problems (6th house). If I try to be positive then I also/instead see the possibility of work changes (6th house), personal transformation (8tth house). My question: is this solar return chart bad? In other words, is it really something I should worry about? Would you travel to celebrate your birthday in order to change the houses (planet house placement) if this was your solar return chart? And does that even work? I basically want to know whether I should do anything about it and am I right to be alerted looking at this chart? Thanks! Appreciate all advices I can get!

It's best to look at the solar return in comparison to the natal chart. The solar return will say some on its own, but, there is a certain amount of information to be gained by putting it next to the natal chart.Could you put up a 'Solar Return + Natal Chart' chart? The one that has the houses. (not the one that says without houses) IP: Logged |

Hmm.. This may be kind of personal.. But, if you don't mind me asking.. What do you do for a career/what are you aspiring to do? I can understand if you don't want to say, but, I had some ideas come into mind looking at this chart that COULD tie into your work.. However, that kind of depends on what it is that you do.IP: Logged |

I don't work at the moment! But I am supposed to start looking for something serious soon. You see I never concentrated on work/career. I mean, job was always just something to do and a bit of cash. I left my last job a while ago and decided that it's time to get more mature and look for something that is stable, pays well, that I enjoy doing and that will also be a source of better income (jobs that require no qualifications don't pay well of course but I do have a degree so I really should look for something more serious). BUT I have no idea what is it that I should be doing! I studied business management but again, that was just something to do, a random choice so you get a picture in terms of work/career: nada empty zero.IP: Logged |

RTS....were you thinking a job taking responsibility or handling other ppls finances, money or their business would be a good fit? Perhaps even something like a person assistant...IP: Logged |

Gabby, the latter is definitely more suitable. But at the moment I am clueless as to career path. Anyways, let's assume this solar is about work. There is still nothing major positive showing in terms of changes/transformation. Right? IP: Logged |

Honestly, I don't think this Solar Return looks too bad. As much as you would think the 8th house would be the main place to look at in regards to death(personal) and such in solar returns, I am actually beginning to think that the 12th house, along with the 4th house/IC in the solar return are actually the things you really want to look at in regards to death in a Solar Return. At least, when it comes to the self. The 8th house, in the solar return, deals a lot more with deaths of people you know.. At least, in my opinion. In a recent solar return, I had pluto in the 8th.. I lost 3 people I knew. 2 of them being relatives. In this solar return, I believe it is showing that you will take a relatively serious approach to things this year.. But, you may meet someone (or, it could be someone you already know..) that will kind of help to bring you out of this shell. They may kind of open your eyes up. There MAY be a renewed sense of optimism on the way you view yourself. I'm not guranteeing anything. However, if you DO meet someone like I've explained, I feel you would meet them through some kind of Job. The actual friendship created will probably come about somewhat unexpectedly. It may seem kind of odd at first. As I said.. I feel things with this person will mainly be light.. Fun.. But, I do believe there may be a certain amount of possibly profound and revealing experiences through it. I wouldn't say any of this is certain though.. So.. I wouldn't exactly spend all my time expecting it, if I were you. On a general level, I do not believe this solar return looks bad. You may feel a bit worn out and cynical from time to time though.
I also feel there MAY be a bit of a refinement in regards to career. There seems to be a slight chance that you'll take a new direction in those regards.

I have just reread my post and yes, I didn't mention even once that it's actually the death of the close ones that I feared when I saw the chart. ReadingTheStars95, you have confirmed my understanding of this chart. I am looking at that Mars and Venus in 8th and then Moon in 5th (fun and sex), doesn't seem to be serious by house placement alone. But I am ignoring the rulerships of course  those planets don't necessarily relate to love matters. Venus, however is a natural relationship/love signifier and it seems to be quite a happy one in this chart. Can solar charts tell us about relationship outcomes? Let's say a relationship start this year and then runs into next..or the opposite - it is short-lived! I just wonder if there are definite tell signs in solar charts as to relationship longevity and nature. IP: Logged |

I know that one of my most intense relationships started when I had a solar return that had the solar return's Venus conjunct my natal Descendent. However, that relationship didn't last extremely long. I'll look deeper into some of my past solar returns, and see if I can find anything that sticks out..IP: Logged |
