Hi all and thank you for looking into this!I'm supposed to fly on Wednesday to NYC, through Paris and I am thinking of cancelling. There's a course I was interested in going on there, but I am concerned for various reasons, the most important being safety and unfinished duties that I have over here. I must make a decision tonight and I don't know what to do! The company I purchased the flight ticket from opens on Monday morning my time. It's likely I would lose money, but I'm okay with that, I will probably get some back. I will also probably regret not attending that course. But here I'd be safe and able to finish what I need to do (I'd be in a huge hurry otherwise!). What do you think I should do? Thank you so much in advance! I am sorry that I can't offer something in return at this time. My head has not been in the right mood for reading in a long, long time. IP: Logged |

I am one least to panic around such things although I live in a country where I witnesed such things... Since there are still possible "fake" threats going on in Paris, there is "back and forth" bombings in othher countries, I would advise to hold on until its safer. I really dont usually panic, and since this is Wednesday no matter the money loss, I think wait a bit more until a safer time. There was a possible fake bomb threat today, peopleare advised not to travel with trains and such.. so take this under advisment.IP: Logged |

Thank you, Intuitivefish! That is what I have been thinking also, even though everyone said security will be tighter these days. I think I'd be fairly safe where I am - for now at least, or among friends/coworkers in something happens here as well. I wouldn't be alone. IP: Logged |

Hey. I live in Paris, but I really can't help you decide, it's up to you. Things are supposed to start going back to normal tomorrow, but we'll see. The streets were pretty empty this weekend, but school is resuming tomorrow. I think they won't be crazy to attack again with such strict security measures, logically this would be the safest time to travel. But you never know with those crazy people. If you don't feel comfortable don't come, you wouldn't be able to enjoy your trip anyway. IP: Logged |
