upright would mean heartache, reversed it refers to mending taking place.
as for what he's running from, i'd say his heart just isn't in it

not always, but this can come up for a third party, maybe there is someone else in his life

upright it's building a life together i think, reversed would be moving on

goes well with what i was saying about what's going on with him

i don't know how to interpret this, normally i'd see it as a good relationship outcome. pentacles are about stability and queens would support a relationship dynamic.
