So I asked this person how did he felt about marrying this other person and he said that it was a fail and a lose.

I didnt go any further so I asked the cards myself cause honestly he didnt want to marry her in the first place.

So the cards that came up

King of cups - 9 of swords - 5 of wands - 3 of wands

Can the 9 of swords mean mostly regret like wishing he could turn back time??

He is a bit too calm and collected of his emotions to be bothered by her anymore, whomever this woman was may have done some damage causing him to lose sleep, be anxious, constantly think about her basically really stress after her. He could also think/feel that being with this person would be too much work - trying to compete for this persons hand in marriage or attention. So now with 3 of wands at the end of the spread, his back is turned to all this, looking elsewhere and hoping something better will come along.

Regret comes up as 5 of Cups most of the time for me.

Thank you Julz

But.. The bad news.. I found out the reading wasn't about the woman after all :/

He planned to marry her.. He had to for the future. He was fighting for his life and the 9 of swords I think was him worried alot because of him having to fight for his life.

So about the 3 of wands, would that mean him making plans or knowing that he knew what was going to happen?

Ah ok gotcha.

As far as the 3 of Wands goes, its not about knowing what he knew was going to happen but more so of making plans yes. 3 of Wands talks about expectancy, waiting for your ships to come or hoping that what you have sent out yields a positive return. If you are using the RWD you can't tell if the mans ships are coming in or going out so this card speaks about waiting & expecting. Distance is also denoted in this card all sorts of distance - could be emotionally since there is water in the card. Geographical distance represented by the ships.
It can also be turning your back on something/someone and expecting/waiting for something better to come in or seek out something better.

Okay just to get a better understand.. He did get married.. But he thought something good will come out but it ended up being a bad idea.. So would that kinda explain the 3 of wands? O.O
