Kind of disturbed over this. I asked this question with one card and I got:

The Devil clarified by the 3 of swords

I asked a 3 card spread and i got:

4 of swords
The Devil (AGAIN!!!!)
8 of cups

So I guess i would make a terrible husband :-/

As far as I know the devil may mean also very sexual or dark sexuality...it may be connected to something like that, not necesarilly a bad husband.

An obsessive, highly sexual, passionate husband. Seems like once you decide to marry you will be in for life hence the shackles that bind the man and the woman together, the whole through thick and thin come to mind. With four of Swords I would say a bit of a push over, very passive with your wife would always yield to her. You may like her on top both figuratively and literally. Umm 8 of Cups I'm having an issue with this card - hmm could be you'd be prone to walk away if it doesn't offer you a spiritual connection like the full package of happy feelings since 8 of cups is shy of 2 cups so you could stray and look else where for the missing 2 cups, clandestine affair, I doubt it though. Maybe the sex has to be just right (crazy insane wild) for you to stay first and foremost. I'm a believer that how good the sex is will denote if the relationship will have a long life so if its the same for you I understand and it isn't far fetched.

Perhaps the cards are channeling the kind of husband you would make "right now"? I also used to think The Devil was the worst card in the deck but I was given some perspective on it recently..

The Devil is cardinal Earth - Capricorn. The people in the card are the same folks in The Lovers - they're not chained to one another but the Devil himself. Often this card comes up for people with "obsessions" or people with "obsessive behaviors". I often get this card in relation to people seeing me a very specific way, putting me up on a pedestal, and refusing to see me without rose color goggles.

Recently, I got this card in regards to a very religious person I know. I thought about it, and realized I only obsessively prefer to see him as a role he played in his past, even though he's objectively not that person anymore. Maybe you're obsessed with the kind of impression you give off to others right now? Or the idea of matrimony? Swords cards surrounding a major Arcana like this one means you're very "in your own head" right now and are being your own worst enemy.

The great thing about tarot cards is that they tend to pick up on the energy of the moment, and the world we live in is constantly in flux. So in the future when you're in a better place, I doubt these cards will pop up again in relation to this question

Devil could be sex- and that's not a bad thing.

But the 8 of cups means looking for better options throughout the relationship....

Great insight you guys thanks!

I think the 4 of swords and 8 of cups is telling me that i will always be on the GO. And I would rather her (my wife) to take care of things I may not want to take care of (cleaning, chores, bills, etc..). Things that are mentally straining...

I may be one of those "out and about" husbands.

Is the Devil a card of fierce loyalty? Or just obsession between two people??

Thanks! Very possible. Not in the best of mood today. I did resonate with 8 of cups though. Its one of the cards i pick up a lot when it comes to my personality (along with king of cups and pents)
