Oooh this is interesting! It appears that he is preparing for a truce. Slowly opening up and creating space for a discussion to be had. It appears that he actually may be toying around with the idea of having a fresh start between the two of you, but for the time being he is juggling to many things to give enough thought to actually moving forward. It does show that there will be some things that need to be talked/ worked through, though. It appears that when you do speak he is going to be "brutally honest" with no sugarcoating, but maybe that is just his personality. What first shows up signifies a really happy, jovial, beneficial connection. So I see that as being the "core" of this connection. However, it is being shown that there are a few things coming between that for the time being. One of them is a deep need for him to go deep internally.. realigning with his highest self, with what he really wants and needs and is capable of. This seems 100% necessary and is not indicative of anything about the relationship, it's a personal thing. Again it is shown that there will be a pause, and beyond just going internally, it shows that physically they are withdrawing, from work, from life. It seems that this person knows of great potential to be very successful and that through this *time off* he is connecting in with that prosperity consciousness...
Because the current need to withdraw is so strong, he isn't able to perceive anything clearly.. It is the universe's way of forcing him to go inside himself. He isn't able to perceive the relationship between you and him clearly now at all.

do you mean cold heart? gulp. Yes, he pays me $400 a month in child support. Honestly, it covers very little and I am extremely lucky to have the support of my family! $400 doesn't even cover what daycare would cost for my daughter.

I think he may be resentful because he thinks my family is very well off and should just support my daughter 100% because they can.

ok, this is looking interesting already! It seemed that they both knew that they needed to let the relationship die in order to grow and become the people they needed to be. It seems that the breakup was difficult, but that they both knew it was what needed to be done.
