Now I understand better, the 5 of pentacles was talking more about him that it did about you. Those people running away basically represented what he did. Yet at the same time, as I told you, he was gathering information.

Why does he run and spy?
It seems that he has a message to convey to you, he wants you to become aware of his feelings for you. He probably wants to get in touch with you again, and become a friend of yours. He's trying to get closer to you and to have more in common by doing that, so that you can become friends.
