First things first, you mention him being a little distant. My personal experience with the King of Cups is that though he is in control of his feelings more than the Page or Knight of Cups, something does seem to be brewing deep inside of him, which you seem to have reacted to. (The first thing I noticed when picking the card was the water. Its not still water, which is why Im concentrated on that more than his pokerface right now)

Considering the card between the two of you, this could mean two things. Either the deepening of the relationship (a new beginning, as in, deciding to stop dating casually) or a different kind of beginning for the two of you altogether. Things could be different between the two of you in 7 weeks, is what Im getting at.

Also, if you look at the Ace of Pentacles and Queen of Pentacles side by side, the pentacle she is holding could be considered to be the pentacle that is being given in the Ace of Pentacles, so if this ends up being literal, he could end up giving you something. A gift.

Overall, these are positive cards which in my opinion point to a yes, you will see him before you leave for vacation.

Four of Cups Three of Wands Justice
This is tough for me. I think your ex might very well be dating still. I get a serious and big change feelings from these cards. As if they are looking forward to their future, like a huge firm decision based relationship. I feel it's serious type of relationship. Perhaps disappointments on the past have made him make a final decision that is positive for his future. Could be a long distance relationship? Does this resonate.
