Ok Lipitor, here is what I got.
Page of Cups (reversed), 10 of swords, Ten of wands (reversed).

I think that he is trying to lay some boundaries between you for now. Besides, the 10 of swords points to some kind of end, although a new day which will give a clearer perspective is about to begin. I think it's likely that he is slowly but surely working things out and realising that maybe he needs to be honest to himself about how he feels about your connection. I would say the situation is making him feel kind of tired, so he might be feeling like for now he has to 'protect' himself.

So I pulled for you. What I want to ask though is that, are you two may be close or have some type of close relationship? I see that the 10 of pentacles is something long term, but because of the 8 of swords tells me that he is limiting himself or that he feels in his mind that there is some obstacles he may have to face and that it's keeping him from from feeling like he can be free in his own thoughts, or is afraid to go any further than what it is. I see that he is trying to control himself and is trying to not let it get to him. So I do see that he's trying to keep something under control.

So the 8 of swords tells me that is his mind, he may feel restricted, and I also can tell he is a little lost and or may feel frustration.
