In the heat of the moment, I quit my job. I won't go much into detail about what happened, but stress, fatigue played a huge factor. The fact that I was working alone that night and that I was not allowed to leave when my shift ended (I had no break, just had time to eat my sandwich and was expected to work for more unknown hours past midnight) made me react very impulsively.

I think about it now and I sort of regret it mostly because it was sort of a d.ick move on my part (but then again, the way they were making me work was unrealistic expecting me to clean a room in 5 min and then getting mad because I wasn't fast enough one my own)

Now I'm sort of...scared because the boss of my department still doesn't know (she will when she wakes up). I'm afraid of her reaction she was nice but i know she'll get in trouble with the big bosses because of me.Most of all im afraid of confrontation because i know she'll asks me questions about what happened that shift.

Can anyone please provide a reading?
I'm feeling anxious right now. I know I can find another job easily. I want to know if my actions will have huge impacts on me or if im worrying for nothing (it was only a summer job contract was done next week but still i dont know how this would look on my resume)

Hi, MillyX.

If I may provide you with a reading…

I don't see any serious consequences for you actually. I see only some ‘heart-related problems’, which could indicate that you are worrying too much about current situation; perhaps that your heart ‘is hurt’ for some reason. But I don’t see anything that would harm you.

I pulled also cards for how will your boss feel about your resignation. Cards denote that she will have some financial loss or burden because of that. Does her salary depend on your work in some way? There are some losses indicated for her. However I don’t see this harming your relationship with her – your relationship with her will stay the way it is (or could maybe even be improved in some ways!).

Hope that helps. Feedback would be appreciated!

Thank you very much <3 Yes her salary does depend on my work, so there is a possibility of loss for her, the company might not rehire her next summer. She is a really nice girl but her organization skills as a manager is not that great. Making me work alone on a busy night in the hotel industry is not a smart idea.

You should send her an email just explaining what happens, let her know she had nothing to do with you quitting so the company and see her in a favorable light.

I did send her a long text message. The thing is, the company already did not see her in the best light. There were huge communication problems between departments and horrible organization skills. Hopefully they fix that in the future so incidents of being understaffed and burning out employees don't happen again.
