Was it a work event or networking gig? The scenario had something to do with money. 8 of wands shows he was elated to see you, and perhaps a bit taken a back. The king of cups says that he had some naughty thoughts about you after the event. However, I don't see any deep connections or feelings from him- they are fleeting in nature because of the air in the 8 of wands.

With 7 of Cups and Knight of Swords it looks like you really want this offer to be extended. However if you put some energy in to it (action represented by Knight of Swords), if you act on your own, you will attain your desired (and deserved) success. With Justice at the end “cause and effect” are again pointed out.

To me it looks like you have all the possibilities for this offer to be extended, but in order to do so, you need to put some action in it. yes, you will see him again and in a similar position (i.e. work event). I think this time there will be some small talk and perhaps some talk about the past (card allude to childhood for some reason). The emotions attached will be pretty similar- fleeting and in the moment, but the talk will make it sweeter. I still don't see anything too deep emotionally in the next 3 months.

Yes. You know what? the Ace of coins has been following you throughout this exchange. You're good at what you do not to have to worry about money for too long. Money will always be coming your way. Yes, you gave up one client, but I see it frees you up to focus on a number of other clients who will be paying more soon. Also you will get more clients. A bit like a 'boom' you now have too many.

Is this exam important for you?
Reversed 4 of wands could point out that there is possibility of some change, transition for you. The Death card itself shows an ending of a major phase of your life; the doors are about to get closed because new one will open. Reversed Devil at the end again points out detachment, reclaimed power and breaking free.

Maybe at first glance cards seem a bit frightening, but all of them have something to do with transition, transformation. If this exam is of a great importance for you, than I would say that you will pass it and will bring you to another level of your (professional) life.

Try not to be so scared. I am really bad at comforting people in this kind of moments, because I know your feeling (went through it by myself twice – I once failed but the other time passed it) and I don’t know if there is anything I can say or do to make you feel better. Back when I had professional qualifications exam, I remember, I didn’t really like people to tell be “don’t be scared” or “everything will be okay” because it sounded too superficial for me.

Wow, when I saw the Ace of Coins again in your cards, positive vibrations were all over me, LOL

Giving up this client made me feel free indeed. The moment when I got confirmation that our business relationship is over, I felt like a kind of burden felt from my shoulders. The feeling was amazing, which is weird because I usually never like to break contracts or anything for that matter.

I am more at ease for sure this time. Because I came to the conclusion that I there are things and people that I can’t control in life no matter what I do. And now I am “semi” fine with it. Still need to work a bit on it, but in general I am more at ease. Thank you for asking.
