Hmm, strange spread.
I think his instant reaction would be a very positive, enthusiastic, even passionate one. Like he would want to instantly react to it and in a rather "hot" way (maybe impulsively? maybe also sexually).

But with the 9 of wands it seems, like he might decide to just give it a bit more time, being a bit more guarded (maybe remember the last time he messed up?), and reevaluate where this thing is going.
Somehow realizing that this is an important decision in your connection, how he is going to react, or how the connection is developing from there.
But with the clarifier of 3 of wands, I get the feeling that either he is really waiting for you to do that, get in touch, and would be happy and enthusiastic about it inside (despite seemeing a little guarded), and I feel he will want to open up communication lines eventually to bring your relationship/ connection onto the next stage of development.

Well interestingly the 2 of cups often comes up in relation to P and me lately, but sodoes the 3 of swords, which is of course fitting, too.
Also interestingly my own spread had the man-lily-combo as well. We`ll see.

To me this looks like a VERY sexual spread, yes I think he will want to make it sexual again, however only after a time of retreat or withdrawel.

Unless of course it means that the 4 of swords is making the sexual attraction that is there in Empress and Tower, dormant.

There will be some very quick unexpected thing happening.
Either you will have a bit of a aquarrel, or debate, or there will be possibly a sexually oriented message in the beginning of the week.
Though honestly this time my first thought was about getting into a debate, but of course could also be about being physically active with each other.

No, I donīt think they are going to carry swords. The King of Cups plays the chief-monkey.
