Hello everyone,

I just discovered that I'm pregnant with my first child (about 8 weeks at this point), and find that I am consumed with fear over the health of the baby and myself, partially because of what I know about my natal chart and what it "says" about children, childbirth, etc. This does come as something of a surprise, since I'm 35 years old and only recently went off birth control and was going through a lot of stress (my father-in-law passed away prematurely in October and I just started a new job at the same time). I guess I didn't think it would happen so quickly! I've been concerned about the usual things such as: being able to afford a child and a new home, possibly losing my job and not being able to live on two incomes (most likely not a realistic fear), having to quit my job to take care of a sickly child, etc. (lost quite a bit of sleep over it as well). I worry about the effect a child could have on my relationship with my husband (which has been stable, healthy, and happy despite challenges). I've also been told things by astrologers in the past such as "my first child will be sickly" or may have a disability. Of course, statements like these have only helped to fuel my fears.

I can see why an astrologer may draw these conclusions, since in my natal chart, Mars is debilitated (in Libra) in my 5th house (Virgo), and the ruler of my 5th house (Mercury) is located in my 8th house (in Capricorn), square to Mars. I've heard all sorts of things about Mars in the 5th (when debilitated and in negative aspect to the 5th house ruler, especially when said ruler is placed in the 8th house), such as: difficult pregnancy / childbirth, forceps delivery, C-section, denial / death of children, children who are accident-prone or may die young, difficult relationship with children. All I seem to think about these days is doom and gloom. I also follow my upcoming transits and see that I'm going through transiting Saturn conjunct natal Neptune (not the best transit for positive thinking). After that, I can expect Saturn to conjunct my Sun (another awesome transit), then my Mercury (chart ruler, yay) and head on through my 8th house. Definitely feeling the fear.

All in all, I was just wondering if anyone can give me a better idea of what I can expect from this pregnancy and my experience as a mother based on my natal chart (posted here). I tend to avoid astrology if I'm feeling fearful because it tends to become more of a crutch for me, but maybe someone here can lend me their perspective and help me to "see" a little bit better(?).

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

You are having a transit of

Saturn Conjunct Neptune

During this transit you may have to contend with negative moods that can be quite upsetting.
This transit often results in confusion, self-doubt, uncertainty, and a general tendency to look at life from the 'worst possible' point of view.
At its worst, it can make you completely uncertain about what is real in your life, resulting in
a sense of fear and free-floating anxiety..
....
Your confidence and sense of well-being are at a low at this time, and you should not take your own gloomy evaluations too seriously.
You seem to be aware of only those facets of life that you are afraid of,
and totally unaware of those things that can Comfort and Reinforce you.
....
Strange as it may seem, there is a constructive side to this transit, although most people usually experience the negative side.
But if you are very well attuned to your inner needs, and secure enough not to be led astray by illusions, even fearful ones, then
this transit can give you the ability to make extraordinary self-sacrifices.
.... you may find that the demands of the material universe no longer concern you particularly, and you can sacrifice your material needs to spiritual needs.

(This should actually be posted in "Personal Readings," for more detailed attention?)

Don't pay attention to transits dear. They just make us anxious and worried.I know is difficult but is better for our mental health to not look too much at them.I don't know how to help you with your chadt cuz I don't know this things enough to give advice and by the way I hate this stuff about 5H (makes people so scared) but I'm pretty sure people will help you and you gonna be more calm.

Anyway since you already read that bad stuff about 5H and we can't rewind it from your mind, in case you remain concerned , pray.Do you believe in God?If yes pray for him to turn things to the best.If we believe in astrology/predictions then we believe things are kinda written on the starts right? but I really believe that in the end of the day God can change anything about our path if we ask him to.

Blessings for your baby!!You gonna have a even more happy married life with this new little member 💙💚💛💜 Have a nice pregnancy my dear ❤❤

Having a baby is always difficult and risky even in the best of situations. So all pregnant mothers need a lot of self-care, self-compassion, and prayers.

Best wishes to you and the baby!!!

Good... I'm glad you're moved here.

I AGREE with what the others have said. If it's upsetting to follow it, then 'Take A Break' from it.

This is NOT the time to do astrology...

Have HOPE, use FAITH and Inspirational Prayers and Messages. ENJOY your pregnancy, and find others who will pray and Celebrate WITH you.

Babies are work, but they are such an amazing MIRACLE, and soooo Rewarding too.

You'll learn what TRUE Unconditional Love is all about... when you Behold their face, their eyes... Amazing.

Best of Luck!!!! in your pregnancy... And birth.

When is the Baby Due???

Dear Nelys

Having a baby is not the time to be relying on astrology. For any "reader" to tell you that your first child will be sickly or handicapped is not worth the time and cruel to say something like that don't you think?

Now is the time to get regular checkups and medical attention. You might want to voice your fears to your Doctor and they might run a series of test for you if your fears are causing you anxiety.

Write us back when you and your husband have a little miracle from God happy and healthy.

Hugs Nelys,

I agree with the others; you need to step back from astrology.

You and your husband have a solid marriage which has survived challenges, right? A kid will deepen the bond. Ya'll are going to have your own tribe!!!

As for your 5th house ruler being in the 8th, you are being transformed. Your priorities will change drastically. I suspect you will be quite the mama bear.

Pox on the fatalistic astrologer who scared the bejesus out of you.

Keep us posted.
