Okay, I think he is in an "in-between-period", he doesn`t quite know what to do or where to go, especially about a woman who probably drives him a little crazy. This could be you or another woman of course. But usually it is a very independent single woman, slightly mysterious, intuitive and smart, but also in a way, out of reach, at least it might feel to him.

And well he is sort of hanging in the air, not knowing where to go, what to do, but tries to be rational about it and NOT let feelings dictate his actions at all. He wants to come to a decision on a rational basis.
