it feels X felt something changing between the two of you. X felt like you both were out in the cold just dragging on. however he had the mental clarity to make things happen, which means he could take charge of the scenario.

all in all he felt things changing between you, he is not happy with how things went and wants things to be crystal clear..

I did a month by month spread.

January - Ten of Wands/Hanged Man
You seem to have had some struggles in January. You could have been contemplating where you're at and how to utilize the new year to move on from a life situation that has been weighing you down. You know, that thing most people do in January. What has been serving me and what hasn't? How do I proceed in a more positive way to leave hurt, sorrows and burdens behind me? Maybe you came to a heavy realization or maybe you couldn't really see the new year in a positive light at all. All you could see ahead of you was heaviness.

February - Seven of Pentacles/Ten of Cups
Ten of Cups is family oriented. A card of emotional fulfillment, as you know. Seven of Pentacles is waiting for something to sprout. Either you'll be concentrating on your family life this February or if you don't have a family of you're own, you're planting the seeds to get to the place you want emotionally and financially. Your still in a state of figuring things out.

March - Five of Wands/King of Swords
Some harsh truths may surface during march. You either have to confront someone who wronged you or you'll be confronted yourself. But the King is upright so this will serve your for your higher good. This is a time of clarity and you'll be able to move on from some of the hurdles of the past.

April - Page of Pentacles/Eight of Cups (Two of Cups)
This could be moving towards or away from a relationship with someone. I pulled Lovers as a clarifier so this could be a loving month for you. But something in the past is still pulling on you. So make sure to clear all of that in March. If you already have a partner maybe you'll feel the urge to get away and meet someone else.

May - Eight of Pentacles/Hierophant
May will obviously be a month that focuses on work or studies. Maybe you'll be advancing at work.

Overall energy - Six of Swords(R) & Four of Pentacles: Could it represent an unwillingness to let go of the past. Six of Swords could represent going back in time. So your focus could be on looking at your past and your challenge would be to release what's not serving you anymore. But if you've got things you need to clear up from way back when. Take these months and clear it.
