Hi guys my fiance's family found out that his nana ( his father's mom) has got liver cancer and it is to the point that she is dying and has only weeks or months to live ( not very long months). She recently went to a cancer specialist and it turned out she had it for 5 years (since 2012) but didnt have the time to get it checked out because her husband had Alzheimer's and dealing from the 2011 biggest earthquake in New Zealand. She has decided to be as comfortable as possible as she decided to not have any treatment as her doctor agreed it would damage the quality of life she has. It has shocked everyone to not that she is dying but what she is dying from. Her upcoming 85th birthday is this august and she may not make it til then but we can hope 😭 i feel very bad for my fiance's dad for he list his dad ( nana's husband) a year and a half ago and now he is losing his mother. She is the most sweetest strong woman i ever met and very thankful I got to spend xmas with her last year not realizing it was her last. It is such a shame that she will not be here for me and my fiance's wedding( he is the youngest grandson on both of his parents sides of the family) which we both wanted. My fiances mother asked if we would like to get married for her to bethere butme and my fiance agreed that rushing our marriage forthe fact nana is dying would not be the right thing to do as she would not want that. Cancer is such a horrible disease and its just tragic that this is happening. I wish it could of been in the early stages but the stories she has told me she has lived a well good life and to me a fantastic woman to look up too. One thing i know for sure isher wonderful husband is waiting for her and going to embrace her with loving arms. Im sorry for rambling but i had to get this out. Thanks for listening❤

I'm so sorry for what you are going through. You could do a small ceremony just for her so she can see you both get married and have the actual much larger wedding at another time. That way she will see you both get married and be there for it. But I'm wishing you well and strength to get through this tough time.

Thank you all but I tried to talk with my fiance about that and he just feels it wouldn't be right and that we will get married when we are ready even though she won't be there physically spiritually she will be.

Praying for you and things work out the best they can. As far as a ceremony , if she does pass maybe putting up a picture of her with a candle. I heard of people doing this to have their loved one there in spirit even though they could not be there in physical form.
