I went to book release for school today and I had submitted a poem. Woman asked me to read which I didn't intend to do- it was a very personal poem and I started to cry by the middle. I asked her to finish it and it was so awkward. I am so mad at myself. I should have either not gone up there or finished it. But I am humiliated. A lady came up to me after class said it's ok I'm a crier too! I don't want to be remembered for that and hope they can not remember that. Now I. Hey my head....IP: Logged |

It's okay don't worry in my school presentations many people when were talking about their personal lives started crying. I don't think people judged you you are human. There was nothing strange about it at all. Most people must have only felt compassion and understanding for you.IP: Logged |

Don't worry about it. People are busy thinking about themselves and with what's going on in social media. IP: Logged |

I second what happyninja said lol, most people are more focused on themselves, same like how you are worried with your situation IP: Logged |

I know it's hard, but don't let this get you down! In my new job, I have to attend author readings - and already I've seen 2 published authors cry at their own readings (One non-fiction and one fiction) in front of 100-400 people. You aren't alone. It's quite common in the writing community and as others have said, no one witnessing it thinks anything less about you. Sending lots of positive wishes to you!IP: Logged |
