HUGE surprise! I am pregnant. This is a total shock and unplanned. As many of you might remember, my partner and I are not married. I would have preferred for this to have happened AFTER marriage, but I am learning to accept the situation and find the blessing in this all. Im no spring chicken, so I am definitely of age to have a child. Lol.

That said, things have been crazy! My car has been on the fritz and I am waiting to hear back from a car dealership on financing to get a new car. Soooo much going on!!!

Can anyone please, please, please, PLEASE pull a few cards for me on if I should move forward with getting this car and just a general look on how things will unfold with me, the baby, and my significant other.

I don't use cards but I do have general intuition. Plus, I have been pregnant about 3 times.

I would invest in the car, you will want to have something dependable for your baby. Although it may leave you feeling like doing less or having less is taking away from you and what you want to give your baby. The essentials are what I have learned that kids really want and need. Food, love, protection, comfort, spend time with them. All the other stuff will come in time.

As far as your boyfriend or guy, talk to him about it. I am thinking he is going to be proposing soon anyway. Not 100% but I get a feeling he is going to want to be more serious about things with you.

Thank you for this! I am definitely going to be getting a new car at some point, SOON. Lol. I am just a bit conflicted about this specific car because the interest rate is a little higher than I want. BUT overall it's a great car at a great price. It's just a significant added expense. I can handle it, but sesh...

I was married to my ex when my baby girl was born, we are now divorced and he isn't even involved at all..

My LMP was Feb 15th. My anniversary is Feb 14th.. And I am almost 5 months pregnant now!!! Couldn't be happier or more in love. So, from my experience, don't worry too much about the marriage.

Adding to car advice--
It's better when you have a 4-door, than dealing with trying to manage babyseats and boosters in 2-door models. Make good air-conditioning a must.
