What N wants..

For now I feel like he wants to establish something with you. Give something a try. Feels like he is wanting to keep things light but that he does want to give some effort and to try and keep a momentum going. I feel like he wants to keep going in the sense that he likes you and I feel like he does want a communication with you to keep going and develop.

I see that the reason he did it was because of some personal reasons. Because there is probably someone he wants to put a good impression on, and is self conscious about himself so that's why. I don't see any strange or particular reason why he did it.
