I also think he thinks you're an introvert or at least u keep alot of things hidden/ to yourself. I think he thinks u come off as a wallflower. You do not like standing out. he thinks ur hiding urself through ur clothes and if u wore some outfits that accentuated ur feminity that you would loook better than alot of people. i hope this resonates.
