I wouldn't mind being a Mod. since this is the thread I frequent, but I'm not sure if I'll fit the requirements, lol. If there are certain requirements that are meant to be made, that is. IP: Logged |

I've been here for a while now and noticed some of the mods are no longer active on LL, would love to help out with this section of the forum. But want to know the requirements as well IP: Logged |

You've got some good offers there Randall. I do not have the capacity to be an 'official PR mod' as well as Sweet Peas, but I am happy to check in.------------------ 'When an inner situation is not made conscious, it appears outside of you as fate' ~ Carl Jung ~ I offer Same Day and In-Depth Tarot readings in my Roots Tarot Etsy shop! Randal, Can a Mod delete posts made by someone else? There was a post in a feedback thread, the last post in the thread, which disappeared mysteriously like it was never posted. IP: Logged |

Yeh posts can be deleted by mod. I've been seeing some posts disappear. The posts weren't even rude but just honest feedback. IP: Logged |

Darn itI saw that in the Empress Mendez feedback thread yesterday or the day before ( she is a mod). Someone left an honest feedback about her reading (saying the reading didnt resonate) and the poster's feedback was deleted, twice. Hmmm..if that's true, Mods shouldn't be given that option of deleting a regular post by a regular member ( not an obnoxious one) just because it was unflattering to the mod, me thinks. IP: Logged |

Actually I'm talking about that same thread too. Jazabel left honest feedback and wasn't realky being rude but honest and it was still deleted. Wasn't sure if mods can do that :/ IP: Logged |

you saw that too? I thought I was going crazy because the feedback post disappeared twice, just this one post not the good feedbacks, and then Empress Mendez just concluded - "my readings are not for you" and that was it. I thought whoa did I just witness a blatant censorship. talking about not being able to handle a negative feedback and wiping out the member's post if they didn't agree with them. Yes, definitely mods shouldn't be given that option, or at least they can edit a post and leave a note it was edited by the mod. I think that's more acceptable and fair.IP: Logged |

I saw that too while lurking the threads. I've also seen that happen in the past and it happened to me before as well some years ago. I remember being in a discussion with someone on here and the entire conversation was deleted, both hers and mine. I remember being so confused and wondering what happened because I remember the page number the conversation was on but it randomly disappeared. This was within the "Have you ever" thread back when it was part 2. Idk why it was deleted because nothing bad was said but yeah, things like that can happen and sometimes make you question if you were seeing things or if it really was there but just deleted.IP: Logged |

Proxy, sometimes a thread can be messed up and a bunch of posts will disappear randomly, like a cluster of posts, even an entire page. Its a glitch of the system, I guess. It had happened before. But in this case I mentioned above and you also saw, only one post disappeared from the thread, the negative feedback only, and it disappeared twice, because apparently the poster tried to post it again after the first time it was gone. And it got posted and then it got deleted again, just this one post.IP: Logged |

And thread closed so no one can say anything more. The one who cannot handle the truth censoring behind "you cannot handle truth" bullcrap.Maybe we should all screenshot to prove things once this thread gets locked and posts deleted IP: Logged |

IF, I agree It's an apparent abuse of power by the Mod. Deleting a post that was unflattering to the Mod, by the same Mod, shouldn't have happened. We definitely need an HONEST and fair Mod here.

Yes I have seen threads suddenly getting locked to prevent certain discussions from starting. That's just not right at all, especially when threads or comments are deleted for a self serving agenda.IP: Logged |

I agree, that's probably could have been the case; a glitch in the system during that time.IF has a point, because I remember thinking to myself that an argument must have started and that's why the thread was locked. When I looked, I didn't see any arguments at all, simply someone giving their feedback and nothing more. The person wasn't being rude at all. I believe that sometimes when someone just isn't connected and states that, a reader can sometimes get offended and say (I'm sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear) sort of thing, instead of the possibility that there wasn't a connection. And for clarification, in case someone thinks I'm talking about a specific person, I'm talking in general, lol. Meaning this applies for all readers that can't accept that there isn't a connection. Even if there is a person asking the question, deep down they know the situation or person better than the psychic and if the client is saying that it doesn't sound right/resonate, then that's what it is. That's my opinion though, lol. IP: Logged |

Yes, I agree. I remember once, not long ago, Empress Mendez opened a thread for about 5 free readings and more than 5 people signed up asking for a seat, and she posted this in another thread at the same time (I found it because I remember the thread) which made me think wow that was rude. I mean, why call them stupid and freeloaders, it's a free forum and we all contribute when we can. And if you can't, just say no, sorry. EmpressMendez Moderator Posts: 486

Oh wow that's not good to call anyone stupid or a free loader, especially when there are people that cannot give exchanges and only can provide feedback. Plus, she was the one offering the readings, so of course people are going to gravitate towards the thread for a chance to be chosen, especially since she doesn't seem to answer everyone and only certain people, so those people are hoping to be picked for a reading.IP: Logged |

Is it possible to select someone who frequents the thread but doesn't actually do many Personal Readings? Or someone who can actually stay impartial and diplomatic AND handle occasional negative feedback. Me thinks not many people can do this. (runs and hides)IP: Logged |

Yes new mods thank you. There Is now problem that some people start exchanges or are offering readings and disappear without explanations. Why to take 10 sitters if you can do only 3 or 5? This has happened to me three times a row now. For example now I have been waiting 17 days ( !!!!!) this one reading. This person is particularry insolent and has been starting new threads & ignoring bumping at the same time. Where is mod? Who should be locking her threads or at least commenting this in my opinion. I don't come here so often anymore so it's very disappointing that this happens nowadays e v e r y time. IP: Logged |

@valmu This isn't a huge deal . I happen to know who you're talking about. She skipped me without offering me an explanation but stuff happens. I saw her mess up some people's readings. I wanted a career reading and she only gave out romance readings. I took it as a sign she can't connect with me. . . Maybe pick the readers you vibe with and not just because you saw a free readings thread. If you really need ur q answered I'm happy to help that said, readers do not always have the time and energy. I have started threads before and couldn't finish them because i have to be in certain state to give out accurate readings. So I wouldn't like it if a mod locks my thread especially when I have every intention of resuming my readings. I do have an issue with mods deleting comments that paints them in a bad light. I would love a mod who's genuinely a nice person and not just moderating this forum for her own ego... I had an issue with a mod on the dream forum of LL and she locked me out of my own thread but kept editing and adding her comments to make her look good. I kept getting email notifications that she posted on my thread but I couldn't respond. Bit ridiculous 😒 Sorry Randall for giving you more work but I'm seeing a decline in members on LL. It was livelier a year or two ago. Would love it if LL was like that again 🤗 IP: Logged |

FB, a mod deleting someone's post ( twice) just because they were giving an honest but unflattering review/feedback is definitely a red flag and they shouldn't be doing moderation. I can only imagine how many interventions EM had done so far, including editing someone else's post or deleting it.However, EM felt like she may loose her good spot with Randall after being exposed, so today she apparently purchased an add on this forum ( upper side of the screen, and the bigger one of all), so by paying Randall for the banner, she secured her place on here, she paid her time. So, we wont expect changes./ IP: Logged |

@furrybunny I'm not talking about only one person but 3 different ones and this happened me in a row. I mostly exchange here too..I have been also late with my readings and it's not unlikely here anyways. Normally people will comment on their threads if they are too tired or not connecting. But to start constantly new threads and ingnore old ones is exasperating to me. Not giving so good impression on personal readings. However it was too rash to me suggests closing threads and I understand there is some problems. But my meaning was on the other hand to have stricter moderation here. Mods deleting posts to their own benefit is of course misuse of their position. IP: Logged |
