I hope this make sense but it seems that there could be a friend or it's about him being honest but there is problem or like coldness here.. there could be an obstacle in the way with being honest and truthful. The key shows being open while dog either shows being honest or a friend.

When I read it across, it seems that there could be a friend or someone he knows about. Key shows being open but that is a problem. There is some delay here too, if that make sense.

So idk if this is about a woman or a friend or him trying to be honest and truthful while being open and he's having some problems with that..
