After more than 1 year of no contact, no closure I had a conversation with him on the train today. Now I am feeling a mix of emotions. I was at work earlier today but had a random thought about him pop into my mind, so seeing him on public transit later that night shocked me.I am wondering if anyone could please offer a read. Wow thank you ma chere voix de la mer!Those are nice cards. It ended by him texting me telling me he didn't want to see me anymore and then proceeding to block me everywhere on social media. I was heartbroken but I did my best to move on. I never had closure or explanations as to why. So tonight's encounter was really the first time I got to talk to him...I put on a brave face and told him that my life is better now, financially and career wise. He seemed happy to hear that. I also told him that what he did was sh*tty but I hold nothing against him...I was happy to see him at first but once I came home I felt really sad...I don't know...part of me is sad that we ended on bad terms....And its like I dont know if we could ever go back to how we used to be. You're welcome Milly!Yes, that was a cowardly way to end a relationship. I'd say you've had a lucky escape, as this avoidant behaviour would likely manifested in other ways had you stayed together. Not that it can't be changed, but that is obviously the stage of development he was at at the time. Sometimes the only resolution we can achieve is that which we give ourselves Milly. The not-knowing is difficult, I know, but really you can do this without answers from him. It's a natural tendency for many of us to see the good in others, but at times we must unfortunately come to terms with the fact that others' behaviour and choices can also be hurtful and selfish, through no fault of ours.
