I would like to say D feels strongly In a romantic sense for you. Were you childhood friends or long time friends prior? he feels alot towards you but doesn't want to get hurt, doesn't want something emotional because it will emotionally wreck him/ distract him from life. He might keep his feelings to himself for awhile and hope it goes away. Both of you seem unsure about the other person feelings. One may feel lovey dove while the other just wants to have fun and its this swinging back and forth that creates such confusion between you two. There is time coming when you both will sit down and talk about this and tackle this issue. I think it might be at a party / friendly get together with a few friends when you just asked him what his feelings for u are. you'll like his answer.
