I agree with Serene. I’ve been catfished before and the person would never want to get on video cam or talk on the phone with me. Only text. This was years ago, so if something looks too good to be true, I tend to question it and I do a google image search on the picture lol. There is someone I have recently talked to and I assumed they were a catfish. I did a google image search and found nothing, so i asked to talk on the phone with them and they told me they didn’t like talking on the phone and I thought to myself “Oh boy...” eventually they did talk to me and we met up a few times since then and they definitely are who they said they were luckily lol.But it could also be a catfish like Mincey stated  which would suck for surez IP: Logged |

On a side note this thread reminds me of that MTV show aptly called catfish  in op's case, it sounds like you're kind of attached to them? You should try to get them to do a video call with you.IP: Logged |

@ProxyxBlueI actually acted that way with guys, I get very scared to talk on the phone or do video chat.. but I do have to learn to face my fears and stop being so insecure. But how this person said that, I think it could be a catfish... IP: Logged |

I’m more nervous to do video chat than talking on the phone. I’d rather just see the person face to face (if I really wanted to). I don’t even like getting on webcam with family lol. Either way, I understand what you’re saying because I have those insecurities too.
