I've watched some people have it manifest as a 'health' event that comes, then eventually resolves. (if you'd be inclined).

Depends on the HOUSE it's in, and what other transits you're having with it.

If Chiron would be in your 4th? .. (for example)
could be something significant having to do with your own deep self (deeply healing some psychological issues that come up to be healed).

The 4th house can bring in issues pertaining to either of your parents (or elders, people who raised you),
your Real Estate property,
issues around your job's/place of work's environmental setting.
Things that had to do with your Ancestry, Ancestral Heritage.

The fourth house natural ruler would be The Moon. (You'd have to consider that.)

Your Chiron is Aries? ...
Look at the condition of Mars.

If it's your 10th House, this would also a parent(authority) house, your government; the police and military;
things pertaining to your career, your Standing and Reputation in Society.

I have a different Chiron than yours.
Plus, my Chiron and natal chart is sorta complicated when certain transits happen...
Just the way my chart is personally configurated.

The things that happened to me, doesn't mean that it happens to you.

Try not to see things as 'prophecy'.
Hold the space that something most-likely may trigger during that time--

You'll probably be getting 'clues' of it, in advance of the peak (especially since you are already aware and using astrology for what to sorta expect). You will have much more readiness..

It happens every 50 years.

REMEMBER too--- this broadly is not "just" happening to 'you' in isolation?.. You are not going to be alone with whatever it broadly is. It's happening to a "group" of people WITH these same placements. You'll probably catch some of those hints, socially, through news as it unfolds.

Chiron is a slow mover-- especially through certain signs, since its orbit is elliptical.). With the Houses, you'd know approximately what some of the issues "may" generally be about...

My Chiron is at 2 Aries conjunct my 00 Aries Sun/North Node and opposite my Jupiter/Uranus at 1 and 2 Libra. (FYI, my Secondary Progressed Angles have just very recently - January - moved to 00 Cardinal Signs - 00 Libra Rising now - with my Solar Arc Midheaven now also at 00 Cancer)

So you're right, Mirage, in that your Chiron Return experience will be different than mine since this Return will also hit all those other planets and, now, Progressed/Solar Arc points.

And my Mars is at 9 Sagittarius (4th House, ruler of my 9th House) square my 13 Pisces Mercury (cusp of 8th House).
