He was happy about it, he felt like his initiating brought about a good outcome, an outcome he desired. He does feel like this is something he can do another time again.
The feeling he got off it, is that it brought him closer to you and I get a sense of hope it did the same to you, he thought that this is a good way to build a bridge. I do get him feeling quite warm and very lightened up, it made his day. So now I get a sense of him being full of hope for the future.

if you pull away, things will go back to square one, things may become still and not much will happen for quite some time. Then he will reach out to you, see the Man in the middle followed by the Birds card, Bird is that of two people talking. I would say the connection would lose its steam, however, despite the initiation from him after the silence, because I see the Mountain in the end and this shows a wall between you two, like something is standing in between and creating a distance between you.

great for the past year I stopped all initiations and let him take over because I had him spoiled rotten with my warmth. Its been always, or mostly, him that initiate all contacts in the past year.
I can tell despite the physical separation, our souls have never split up, it feels like that...

The communication will continue and I get an addition of physical time together possibly, if not yet then talking about what you would be doing together, making some plans.
I also feel he may become a little more open with you in an emotional sense. So I feel like there would be a very familiar energy between you, like a more open energy with a purpose as in, the "agenda" is not hidden any more and like both of you are aware you are going towards something together. That is the energy I feel for April

The month may start on rocky terms, mostly felt by you. You may feel like there is no progress whatsoever and things cant be moved further along. The rest of the cards , however, show that after that initial feeling of discontent, something surprising will happen and it looks like you actually will be hanging out together! Hi.

He at times needs to pull back, he gets scared of being overwhelmed and he does not wish to rush things too much.
But he caries you in his mind a lot like even after talking to you he then thinks about what you talked about. His thoughts now are to keep some balance so this balance of his mind and heart. I get a sense of him not wanting to rush and his thoughts are to keep his heart safe in a way but all his thoughts are towards you and to keep a good connection with you.

My question is, how does D feel now that I have pulled back a little?

Thanks ! Rehashing the conversations we had is his thing, for sure. I know it because sometimes he would come back 3 hours after the conversation and would ask me to clarify something I have said.

So for now it shows him being stubborn and holding off. He won't let out much or anything. It will feel like ending almost , like he doesn't care. The cards show there will be an improvement underway but some delays around it. So even though he hold onto himself, he will come around and things will balance themselves out because right now they seem unbalanced.
As of present, he is absorbed with his own goals, though.
