I'm not asking for interpretation. I simply posted this so other people could look at the transits and see if perhaps similar transits will happen to them and maybe use other prediction methods to confirm an engagement.. I just found my parent's wedding album and came across a page that mentioned the exact date my dad proposed to my mom and the exact way he did it. They'd been broken up for a month and she'd moved back home when he called her on the phone out of the blue and reconciled and then surprised her by asking her to marry him. They married 3 short months later on New Year's Eve 1988 at 3pm in my grandparent's backyard. This is how transits to her chart looked the day my dad called her to reconcile and propose. **************************************************************** Transits on wedding day http://imgur.com/hpZxm0U **************************************************************** Progressions on wedding day http://imgur.com/wvdBhCA

yes, id like to see the progressions toousually at the time of a wedding, the 1st and 7th ruler are in a tight aspect, either by progressions or by progressions-natal. I want to see if her chart confirms this thesis IP: Logged |

Nchoaah.Mars/Moon transit were on her angles. Trans Moon conjunct her Mars. Whilst trans Jupiter/Mars on her Sun by sextile and trine resp (I like this aspect as it is a "feel good" aspect) Neptune is conjunct the Dsc. Dramatic and romantic relations. On the day, Moon(ruler of her Asc) was conjunct the Mc. Emotions are at their peak. Did she burst out in tears? Mars(ruler of Mc)was square Asc/DSC axis. Strong feelings at their peak. She was likely angry at your Dad at the time and still seething? Trans Merc was conjunct natal Neptune Trans Uranus/Saturn opp her natal Venus and square her natal Mars. Confusion and hardships around relationships. Trans Venus was square her Moon(applying) and conjunct her natal Mercury(another "feel good" aspect). Feelings turned on their head. And Pluto square her Sun in Leo (separating). A "life changing" moment. Or one that is self defining. I concur that it would be awesome to see progressions. IP: Logged |

I have always found it incredible she had Pluto squaring her Sun when she was proposed to AND when someone apologized to her. Normally people would NEVER apologize to you while you're having a Pluto square inner planet transit, let alone propose or marry you! I'll post her progressions now! IP: Logged |

Yeah this was odd. Saturn transits almost always bring breakups which as I said she did go through with my dad a month earlier, but it's odd because this Saturn opp Venus transit was closer to being exact when she was proposed to then a month earlier when they'd broken up. My ex had transit Saturn exactly on his Venus the day he broke up with me. My experiences with Saturn transits are usually pretty brutal and negative unlike my mom's experiences! IP: Logged |

She was going through her Saturn return and Saturn return can be particularly significant for natal Saturn conj Dsc, Cap desc, Cap Venus,Cap Moon or Sat- Moon.Progressed Asc in Leo is conjunct natal Uranus(progressed Dsc ruler) Progressed Moon(Ruler of the natal Asc) is conjunct progressed Venus(ruler of progressed Ic) Progressed Merc(ruler of natal Ic) is trine trans Jupiter and opposite trans Mars exact. Progressed Mc ruler (Mars)is conjunct transit Moon exact. I am thinking that Asc/Dsc interaction is the indicator. In that one defines oneself(1st) through relationships (7th). Because relationships do need one to not be so singular in outlook(1st) but be..ore inclusive and corporative (7th) etc. Looking at my own chart. Natal Asc ruler(Mars) in Lib also conjuncts the Dsc( making it the co-ruler). So I am made (1st) for relationships (7th). But no action there so far. Natal Dsc ruler(Venus) is conjunct natal Sun(by the progression of Venus to natal Sun). This joins the 7th house with the 5th(Sun natal 5th house ruler) Progressed Asc ruler is Venus. This joins the 1st house(progressed natal) with the natal 5th house(Sun). Progressed Dsc ruler (Pluto/Mars) has natal Pluto in sextile aspect with progressed Venus. Joining the 1st house with the 7th. Do I have reason to still believe? Well the closer sextile aspect is about 1 to 2 years away. But progressed Venus(ruler of progressed 1st and natal 7th) is approaching natal Pluto(ruler of the progressed 7th). Keeping my heart(and zip) wide open.

I thought she'd had her return already. She was 32 when she got married and Saturn usually conjuncts your Saturn before 30. That gives me hope though. I'm a Cancer rising like my mom and have a Cap Moon and so right now wih Saturn transiting my 7th I am hoping I'll meet a man and get married. My Saturn is in Aquarius so in 2020 or 2021 I think I'm having my first Saturn Return. Since Saturn rules Aquarius as well as Cap, I'm hoping by age 30 in 2022 I'll marry! I'm def currently in an auspicious time astrologically to meet a man PLUS my progressed moon will soon progress back into my natal Capricorn this December! Wish me luck too haha. IP: Logged |

Looking at her progressed chart I just realized her progressed Moon and prog Venus were in a 1 degree separating conjunction which is also conducive to a time for finding loveIP: Logged |

The weirdest thing is that her 7th house ruler sitting at the tail end of her 5th very close to her 6th did not at all have any 5th house overtones when se met my dad. She met my dad in a very typical 6th house way, through her coworker who'd been friends with my dad for years and knew my dad was a few years out of a divorce with his first wife and looking to start seriously dating again.IP: Logged |

I posted the progressions on the day my dad proposed, but I'll post transits and progs on her marriage date of December 31st, 1988 at 3pm as well.

Yes,Saturn on Moon would definitely have the effect of wanting to get your ducks in a row. But also note that Saturn marriages are rarely romantic. But they are enduring and usually lift the mate up to prominence in some way. Consider the proposal of Downtown's Abbey's Richard Carlisle to Lady Mary Crawley. It wreaks of what Saturn men/Cap men are all about. Sir Richard Carlisle: I want you to marry me. Lady Mary Crawley: Why? Sir Richard Carlisle: Because I think very highly of you. Lady Mary Crawley: "Very highly". Goodness. Sir Richard Carlisle:I mean it. I think we'd do well together. We could be a good team. Lady Mary Crawley: Now that sounds better. But I can't help thinking that tradition demands a *little* mention of love. Sir Richard Carlisle: Oh I can talk about "love" and "moon" and "June" and all the rest of it if you wish. But we're more than that. We're strong and sharp, and we can build something worth having, you and I, if you'll let us. Lady Mary Crawley: Your proposal is improving by leaps and bounds. You must give me some time, but I promise to think about it - properly. Sir Richard Carlisle: I'm counting on it. Notice that he never explicitly says "I love you". Even though I could tell that besides the "rational" decision on marrying her would bring him material benefits, he did deeply care for her. But was not certain of her affections for him. Undeterred by that insecurity he proceeds onwards as Saturn men are rarely sentimental about love feelings and are quietly patient that time changes minds to what "works" and not what is ideal anyways. Notice how then he immediately draped his expressions of affection in Saturn/Cap style of talking about how practical the union would be i.e he mentions "good team" or "build together" etc. Lol. Didn't William marry on his Saturn return? And personally I have thought them being together more practical than romantic. I myself had a practical 2 year stint with a Taurus/Taurus moon. During that time one desires stability and earthy signs increase in appeal. But alas, mine was with an unstable Taurus with Gem Asc and Venus. Mars on Uranus and Venus. He looked good initially. Until he showed that he wasn't all that stable really. IP: Logged |

Oh yes their marriage is def not lovey dovey or romantic. Tbh my dad is a Virgo with a Virgo first house stellium and doesn't have much serious Capricorn in his chart, but the man lets that anaytical, judgy and overly precise nature of Virgo dominate him. I've always been surprised that their marriage has endured because I've always siad that my mom and dad aren't compatible due to my dad's critical nature and lack of emotions. But my mom has her Juno in Capricorn in her 7th so I guess unemotional men are her thing... IP: Logged |

Mom is married to a very unlikable Cancer. She is Sag Sun with Cap Juno and Venus in Cap conj Sat Cap.But my Mom also has Virgo NN with Taurus Moon. So the two mentioned form a grand trine with her Juno. She is very earthy I guess so she is made of sturdier stuff when it comes to love than worrying too much about whether or not she is being romanced. I don't share her sentiments. Too much fire/water in my chart and Juno in Aries conjunct the first house opp Mars/Pluto. Its likely gonna be very hot, hot, hot. IP: Logged |
