It looks like me that he may not be sure on how he exactly feel about you. So I think he is confused on how he feels. The Hanged Man is more on letting go and see what happens without trying to pressure anything. So it's possible that he is trying to see how he feels about you and just letting things go with the flow. The Queen of Chalices is maybe you, either you're a water sign or you're someone that is caring, generous, and sensitive at times. Did you feel that he didn't care about you before? The 5 of pentacles indicates that someone feels left out, or feel like the other person doesn't care about them as much.

My gut feelings tells me that this might be the case too. To give you a background of my relationship with A, we used to be really close. We were best friends but we both ended up messing around with each other until we ended up catching feelings for each other. This hurt both of us because A is in a long term relationship. I have a feeling that this could be him feeling left out and not cared for as much anymore since I havent replied to his message. Now, after this tarot reading Im not sure if I should still reply or not. When I saw 7 of chalices and 4 of chalices, I was thinking that maybe he wanted something to change between you and him. It looks like someone was trying to see if something could improve or if there was a need of improving anything at all. 4 of chalices says that maybe there was a pattern there or feeling unsatisfied with things. It could of been that someone was more focused on their self and other things in their life. 5 of wands shows that maybe the both of you disagreed with each other or some type competition was involved.. maybe there was more one person or trying to get someone's attention. 4 of pentacles shows someone not sharing with the other... or maybe a little selfish and not being fully open.

I agree he might be wanting things to change because in order for us to be friends we must at least communicate, at least I want to be friends, dont know about him. He is in senior position to me.
