I agree with you about Jessica, I've had terrible reactions with her and I do not think she's pleasant, if you're going to move a thread, write something helpful so the poster understands...it makes me so uncomfortable to even post in other threads in dear she'll just move it or close. If you move a post, there is no reason to then close it, forcing the person to have to then repost. Closing a thread bc you don't like the answers is not fair to the poster if they've asked to not have the thread closed, and there is no abusive language. Randall on there hand is super helpful and always gives bumps to questions not answered. I try to read those questions in general, but I find that Jessica comes off rude and will close a thread when she no longer wants people to comment, as she did with your last post.
I don't think the site is stupid, its been great minus a few unpleasant people, the fact that you can come here ask for a reading without paying is pretty amazing, but jessica needs training to be a better moderator. IP: Logged |

thats great for your O, but i have not had the same experience with her and expressing it and at the sametime defending the site, as well as giving examples of what can be done for better interaction.There's an abuse of power when it comes to jessica being a moderator..when other moderator are not like that. Jessica is doing what she is supposed to do. There are strict guidelines about where threads belong. She posts where threads are being moved to. I have seen people who do not understand the procedure here get rude with her, and she always takes it on the chin and is polite. She unselfishly gives of her time and expertise to help others and is a great astrologer. Being a Mod is a thankless job, but she does exactly what she is supposed to do. IP: Logged |

I don't think it's a thankless job, people thank you all the time because you do a good job. The difference is that there no abuse of power in regards to you, but I think that she enjoys taking the initiative to close like she did with Loveher's thread. It is not fair to anyone else that either wants to defend her or not. We all have to follow guidelines, and there is no harm in being polite especially when you're posting a thread calling out other people activities on the site...but not being able to handle it yourself. I'm betting a billion dollars her last thread being polite on LL was not closed...but no problem rushing to close Loverher's thread. There was no request to close and she was expressing her frustration...and she gets punished by having her thread closed when there was no abuse of any sort..what was the point of closing the thread if it wasn't for having the power to do so as a moderator? That should not be enough of a reason to do that. IP: Logged |

Saille, as a moderator they don't have to explain why they close a thread and most times it is because people post in the wrong spot or there is too much anger on a post. If people would read the rules/descriptions of where to post what, then Jessica wouldn't need to step in and move or close it. I think all the moderators on here on great and it's newcomers who don't read rules/descriptions and then get mad and try to stir the pot. Yes, but not before mentioning that the post is being moved. If the title was not appropriate then it should have been closed immediately with an explanation, or not posted, but instead, people commented and criticized her for voicing her frustration.I stand by what I have said. She's not a nice moderator, set by your examples, and explanations which are the complete opposite of hers. IP: Logged |

I consider your thread as flaming Saille with a malicious intent against a member of LL that much a moderator.It took me some time to remember you i really didn't remember when we were supposed to have had 'terrible reactions' , then something clicked I remember that once you created a thread in the Vedic astrology forum where you requested help by posting a western chart http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum38/HTML/000208.html which I moved to the relevant forum,which you then had an issue with because I moved your thread. That was the only time I think I conversed with you.
It seems that people have huge ego issues when their threads are being moved to their relevant forums.
I have to handle people like you almost everyday professionally saille, since I am their boss I don't really get fazed by the negative attitude you obviously show. If you think moderating an internet forum is power I feel sorry for you. I am here solely on my spare time and solely because I love astrology, I'm already in a relatively powerful position professionally. Now you need to acquaint yourself with the rules and procedures of LL specially those of moderators, next thing threads will be closed and moved to their respective forums, threads will be closed if their title or content is disrespectful or has malicious content. I'm going to close this thread because your intent was to cause prejudice against my person as a moderator who is doing just that - moderating, because YOU don't find me 'nice', you think I need 'training to be a mod', so based on your own biased opinion of me, someone you don't know you've created a thread in the sole purpose to cause harm to me,I don't understand the point of creating a thread to express YOUR frustration only to stir the pot as Dustib and Orange mentioned, I would have closed any thread that has cause prejudice and has the sole intention of causing harm to any member of LL. If you any issues at all/complaints please direct your complaints to the administrator of this site, so that he can take actions because he hired me! DO NOT flaming the boards with your anger and frustration issues. please remember we are all strangers behind a screen of some sort using nicknames, sharing a common interest, I don't know anyone of you well enough to hate you.
