For the year ahead ..definitely a sense of loosening up here for you...I see a completion of task or project and feeling on contentment ...ease.

For your first question it means you have struggles at the moment and maybe in the past too. but your goal in this life time is to break free. you will be able to transform your struggle into freedom. just make your own choices. and you will get over what is holding you back. you have the ability to change your life.

your second questions. I have the same nodal aspect. from my personal experince I feel that I had to push myself towards the Capricorn side no matter how i feel.
So for you its normal its not easy. I used to think that all of us have to go towards the north node and leave the south node. but as i read and learn more about astrology and read many charts i realized that some people karma and goals in this life time to be in their south node. just ask yourself whats your soul purpose. what makes you happy and passionate. if you feel that SN is what you need then let it be. but if you feel that you need your NN then you have to take small steps to leave SN behind.
