My mother has to have a knee replacement early next week, and I’m a bundle of nerves about it. Would someone be able to do a reading on the outcome of the surgery for me, please?

She'll be fine with proper care.
With a New Moon in Cancer ( good time to start something) and processing it to the next 6 months, but of course everyone is emotional, as they should be, but also try not to worry.
Cancer is a water, so, there's going to be a great deal of care and attention provided, and easy transition in terms of healing.
Saturn is home in your Mother's Asc of Capricorn which is great, Saturn is the planet that brings things in,, completing a good work with attention to detail...along with Pluto next to it, a great deal of preparation has been done before, during, and after the surgery in terms of care. Be prepare as well for adjustments..,to ensure your mother's comfort and because Pluto deals with money, possibly the bill being more, and difficult to pay off. with Jupiter in conjunt to Saturn and Pluto, there is a lot of positive energy flowing through two dark planets(Saturn and Pluto) so things will go smoothly, just not fast...possibly long recovery( slowly, but surely)
Neither Mars or Mercury are in retrograde, so things again should move smoothly in terms of healing.

Update: My mom’s surgery went well, and she got out of the hospital yesterday. As you mentioned, the recovery will be a process with the need for rehab for her new knee, so it is slow-going, but she is getting a little better each day.
