Hello,

I’m thinking of going back to school and was wondering what I should study/prepare to do. I know career stuff is related to mc (Scorpio, which conjuncts my moon) and 9th house is higher education. Is there anything else I should be looking at? 2nd house?

Happy 21st of the month!!

From first look at your chart, my initial thoughts were counselor / social worker... travel / public health... art teacher or education.

The Jupiter in the 5th can indicate having many children, or working with children (or anything fun)

The Aquarius ascendant to me points to anything cutting edge or serving humanity (could be anything, even new tech)

The Pluto in the 9th in Scorpio to me shows power when it comes to philosophy and travel, maybe even an archeology interest?

Then all those 11th and 12th house planets to me show something involving groups or networks or the welfare of everyone at large. The 12th could be going deep personally / transforming through self-understanding and a need for time alone... maybe the benefits of having a creative outlet...or even foreign travel.

The moon in the 10th near the MC -- I have this too! : ) From everything I've read, this supposedly means that your work involves you emotionally... we feel passionate about working, it gives us a sense of meaning. we might make good chefs, counselors, care-takers, or even food industry or hotel-workers... nurturers or educators.

There seem to be a lot of positive aspects in your chart, so I'd say whatever combination of interests feels right, go for it!

My sister recently gave me some good advice: she picked a job because it makes her happy -- the tasks she does on a regular basis, the types of interactions she has and the frequency of those interactions... on the other hand, there are other things she can picture doing that just give her a feeling, "yuck. I'd be so unhappy if I did that." With the moon in the 10th, and planets in the 12th, it might be harder for us to get clear about ourselves and stop reflecting everyone around us ... but I still think this is an important step.

(Your Mayan Galactic Signature might prove a helpful mantra: Kin 163: Blue Resonant Night
I channel in order to dream
Inspiring intuition
I seal the input of abundance
With the resonant tone of attunement
I am guided by the power of vision"

Something else I'll say about my sister is she did LOTS of research before pursuing a grad school program. This involved primarily networking and interviewing about career paths and jobs, and, in her case, hearing lots of warnings and cautions, and determinedly proceeding in any case.
(Compared to me, who applied to a program I knew I'd get into, with hesitation and uncertainty about my level of interest, only to find myself taking a leave of absence halfway through to reassess. I don't know. I guess there are pros and cons to trusting that the universe has your back, as well as plotting out a reliable path.)

With the north node in the 1st house, you have a need to develop self-rejuvenation / learn to look out for your sense of self and identity. At the same time, nurturing positive relationships and partnerships (South node is resolution node to your Pluto square (they move retrograde and this node past Pluto last)), nurturing your relationships and partnerships will help pave the way to healthy relationships with your own power.

The below is copy-pasted from the Gene Keys website for your birth information: (They have a book, too, that can give further info. Please let me know if any of this feels too vulnerable and I will edit it!!! These things can be very illuminating / penetrating.

My deepest Purpose in life is to manifest the Gift of Altruism.
To realise my Purpose I need to transform the Shadow of Selfishness.

Love
In relationships my greatest challenge is to transform the Shadow of Failure
into the Gift of Preservation. The highest expression of my heart is Invisibility.

Prosperity
I unlock my prosperity through my Gift of Dynamism.
I undermine my prosperity through the Shadow of Provocation.
I thrive best in a partnership.
A journey of self illumination
Test - MY GENIUS

My Life's Work - what I’m here to do - Gene Key 60

You need structure in your life. You need to have relationships you can rely on, and a role that allows you to push your creative spirit out into the world. Ideally, you will have a family with children of your own to provide the kind of structure that you thrive in. However, if your path does not involve family life, you will need some other form of strong and lasting structure in your life. Yours will be a very creative life, filled with change and challenge. You will probably find that you have very intense periods when everything seems to happen at once, followed by long bursts of relative quietness, when little seems to change. As long as these quiet patches don't dishearten you, you will live a highly prosperous and productive life.

My Evolution - what I’m here to learn - Gene Key 56

If the 56th Gift drives your Evolution, your issue in life is likely to be how to manifest your dreams into reality. You can have a lot of dreams! You need not limit yourself to any single form of expression. Many different shoots may bud from the stem of your life. You must trust in these different directions. Over time, you will see how they all interconnect, rather than pull you apart. The trick is to decide early on which directions will be enriching and which will not. One of the most important issues in your life concerns your sense of humour. If you ever lose your sense of humour, you will know that you have gone adrift. The highest challenge for you is to laugh, even if only inwardly, at whatever life throws at you.

My Radiance - what keeps me healthy - Gene Key 28

One of the most important factors in your general health and longevity is your ability to laugh. It is vital that your life affords you circumstances to really experience regular belly laughs. Your attitude towards life also needs to follow this lead: life for you is about finding lightness and humour, especially in difficult or challenging circumstances. You also need to live a little dangerously from time to time. That does not mean stupidly — just that you allow your natural love of spontaneity to overrule your mind. You need to directly experience the power of nature and the elements, and not from an armchair — you need to get out in it — even sleep in it from time to time.

My Purpose - what deeply fulfils me - Gene Key 27

Ultimately, your life is not ever going to be about you. No matter what you do, your true purpose is going to be reflected in the lives of those you affect. The only thing you need to learn is to give yourself the amount of nourishment you need, so you can concentrate the full power of your heart and energy on other people. If you give yourself too much or too little, you will feel a deep lack in your life. Your fulfilment knows no bounds when you find the people or family that you truly love. More than likely your prime sense of purpose will be derived from your being a parent and seeing your children grow up strong and independent. If you do not have a biological family, you will need to live your life deep within the community in some form of ongoing service to others or to nature which will fill your heart and make life truly worthwhile.

///

The following is from the Kabalarian website. I don't believe in their philosophy, but I think this numerology generator points at some insights : )

The date you were born indicates that you have the potential for boundless energy, zest, and enthusiasm for life, with an urge for change, travel, and new experiences. Opportunities to investigate new ideas and theories could appeal to you particularly in art, music, drama, or motivational public presentations. Sharing your concepts with the ideal of motivating constructive growth and happiness in others is part of the expression of your potential.

Your ingenious, original, and sincere expression could encourage the best in others. Being naturally generous, particularly in helping those in less fortunate circumstances, is your way of resolving injustices, righting wrongs, and trying to establish fairness for all. You have a high respect for truth and would be disappointed when you do not find it in others.

You desire freedom and adventure, and would not be satisfied and content in any limited, monotonous, or restricting situation.

Accomplishment day by day and step by step in areas of profound interest to you would build progress and eliminate feelings of frustration and repression. Inasmuch as new ideas and adventures could distract with their appeal, be aware of the need to finish what you have already started.

Finding time for relaxation would create health and peace of mind. Time spent in outdoor sports and activities would also contribute to balance and harmony in your life.

///

But if I didn't make it clear, I'd like to echo what others have said on this site, which is that you can really do whatever you want.
No matter what these human-made complexities and systems may say, no one knows your dreams better than you do, and no one has the power to limit you except for your self.

I also noticed you relocated to the west coast. You might find insight from relocating your chart in astro.com to see what new "talents" and guidance arise.

The main career/vocation that comes to mind is that of a psychotherapist. Another career/vocation that could fit would be a social worker or patient advocate for those who have suffered abuse or trauma.

Here's where I see this:
* Moon conjunct MC (professions dealing with peoples' feelings and emotional experiences)
* Pluto square North Node (which is in your 1st house)(using your power and connection to the hidden/traumatic aspects of life in a visible and giving/unselfish way)
* 5 planets in Capricorn, with half in your 12th house (the house of the unconscious; Capricorn ruled by Saturn, the planet of work and service; ergo working in service of the unconscious)
* Mercury conjunct Uranus in the 11th house (innovative ideas may come to you related to society and socialization); opposite Jupiter (these ideas may come to you through your experiences working with people)(you may be able to share your innovative ideas in the field you work in with the world)

Best of luck in whatever direction you choose!

Oh that's awesome! : )

Yes, in astro.com, you can make a relocated chart by selecting that option under extended chart selection, and then saving it as a new chart. Another method is to add a new chart and adjust for time zones and locations.
