I'm using Tarot for this reading.

Unfortunately, I don't see this as a reliable path for you in the future... It look like you've been facing some difficulties with this, I feel within yourself and with actual outside support to this vision of yours. My first thought is that he had assumed something about you- that didn't turn out correct( qofP(x)) and after talking to you(King of swords-which I feel may represent you- perhaps you came off clear about what you wanted and they felt they couldn't provide that to you and were was intimidated by you- (8 of cups) in the sense of wanting to leave you alone( because they feel you can take care of yourself, or don't need them or wouldn't need them.
I think their intent was to see if you were who they thought you could be to them- but something changed or became very clear that you may be able to provide that to them in a good way- like you too "good" for them.

How do you see things progressing between us?
Wheel of fortune, page of wands- ace of cup- I think you'll move on to find someone new. The Wheel of fortune suggesting you'll likely hang around each other for a bit assessing your pros and cons with each other (page of wands) and finally deciding that there's a better person out there for you (ace of cups)- new beginnings -new love. Or that you may find that there are more pros than cons and try again- but I really feel more like you'll both move on from each other.

As per my reading, I can't give you much feedback yet, but yes, it's possible that he finds me to be an independent woman etc. who maybe is a bit out of of his league (not how I feel at all but I can see how he could feel that way).

I covered a two month period because if i dont ask on a timeline it can happen at any point in future.

I'm also using a new tarot deck fyi.

page of pents, 9 hearts, 6 swords, the moon, king of swords (clarified by 2 swords, knight of cups, 6 wands)

Its not a bad spread but i get a bit of not sure energy at the start. Page of pents shows its obviously in the early stages and you will just be trying to figure each other out, while at the same time figuring out what it is you would actually want from each other. With the 2 swords i just get you will be adopting the wait and see approach. I think with the knight of cups he(or you) will be very interested and someone will be put on a pedestal so to speak. The 6 swords is promising as we can see two people moving forward on a boat - but the waters are getting calmer so the emotions aren't as excited any more. The moon is a rose tinted glasses kind of card and i think they will come off during this time. The 6 wands is a card that gets me sometimes but i often see it as someone going forward alone(although it can be a victorious card). Having said that, i also had the 3 cups that i was drawn to and i think it just represents early stage romance. Basically i think that you will go on a few dates then it will be a little bit quiet, but i feel like this period will be romantic at the start then later on more friendly than romantic but its possible to go deeper after this period. The energy doesn't have a real direction of committing to something during this period. Honestly i dont feel deep romantic feelings developing during this time - especially with the king of swords at the end.

Basically, i think you will get along and i think he will actaully like you alot at the start but then you'll hit a period where things are more thoughts and rational than feelings. It feels more friends than romance during this period but of course who knows what will happen after this. So i will say at least friends for now. Its not a bad spread just not a very romantic one in my view for this period. I dont see serious progression in this period.

Thanks for your reading! I totally identify with that you mention. I went on a date with him yesterday and the vibe was all about figuring each other out, getting a feel of what this may lead onto, each other's intentions... It went well overall, but there were a few things that didn't light the spark in me. However there seems to be a lot of compatibility and familiarity between us on many levels. But he's not easy to figure out, I don't think I am either. You're right too about him being more interested, I think he got way more eager than me and with his head potentially on a relationship... He even asked to see me tonight again ahah. But yes, I'll be adopting the wait and see approach, not deciding on anything just yet. But I can see how things may develop the way you mention, we already touched on the fact the we both think too much ahah so there's a lot of rationality present, yes...

I honestly think something came up and got in the way, obligating them to retreat from your connection at the present moment... I see them being focused on their own issues at the time and focusing their energy around something important in particular right now that requires their full attention and takes away their energy and time for other areas of their life. Of course the 9 of Cups reversed is showing your frustration and unhappinness with this at the time. I don't think they think much of not responding to you, there's a sense of being temporary, like they won't answer you right now but definitely will take the initiative to reconnect in the future, as we see with the Emperor there...

The Queen of Swords reversed here I think is showing me that you may be jumping to conclusions too soon and thinking way much about this than needed, I think you'll find that the situation on their side was way simpler than potential scenarios that you may be thinking of. Try not to feel resentful towards them because of this, I think they will come forward in an honest and interested way in your future and may clarify to you the reason for this.
