I've read this as well about 2 years ago. It's a writing for it's time I believe. When I say that, I say it in the expression that a lot of the terms he uses was probably written as the terms were being created during the birth of Psychology. The average person would probably get a bit bogged down with the writing style but it still expresses a lot of truths in it's writing.

I've read this! I have also read a New Design for Living which I highly recommend. It's been a while since I read the Science of Mind. I agree with his writing style, it is very much in the style of it's time, however it is worth reading. I've read it twice actually & then got the book on tape for my car. His perspective is enlightening. I believe there is a devotional companion to the book.
Now I am not Christian but there are many references to scripture in the text. However it is not obnoxious & it certainly pertains to the context of the book.
