This more for people who aren't from the US, but Yankees can answer, too. What is your opinion on America's recent actions? I saw a poll in the paper which said America has lost approval over the last few years; would you agree? I harp on things sometimes. Sorry. ------------------ No longer mourn for me when I am dead Than you shall hear the surly sudden bell Give warning to the world that I am fled From this vile world, with vilest worms to dwell. -Shakespeare IP: Logged |

hm... I have alot of respect for the americains I'm not licking but I mean without America us europeens would probably be speaking german right now. I agree that saddam hus. must be delt with one day or another but I don't think this is the right way to do it. But I'm no expert. and imposing a certain politic regime isn't right either. Trying to force ppl to practise a democratie which 'promotes' the freedom of choice, is in fact violating, taking away, that very freedom. but as I say I'm no expert. what do you guys think?IP: Logged |

I'm very anti- war with Iraq myself, and I think the US needs to finish up Afghanistan before it attacks someone else.Is there still animosity between French and Germans over WW2? I think the EU is very good for Europe; no more wars, please, the world needs Europe at peace. ------------------ No longer mourn for me when I am dead Than you shall hear the surly sudden bell Give warning to the world that I am fled From this vile world, with vilest worms to dwell. -Shakespeare IP: Logged |

ghandi's technique for freedom in India was amazing, no one else has been able to do that, every one now just shoots 1st & thinks later. one day that attitude is gonna come around & bite us in the bum! could be very soon.Btw my fav anti war songs are Imagine by the almighty sir John Lennon & the war album in 81 by U2 IP: Logged |

Israel being a prime example..... they and the Palestinians will be killing each other into eternity, I'm afraid.Hmm... my favorite anti war song is that one I posted part of earlier, on the Nationality string; forget what it's called, but it's by Dolores Keane. ------------------ No longer mourn for me when I am dead Than you shall hear the surly sudden bell Give warning to the world that I am fled From this vile world, with vilest worms to dwell. -Shakespeare IP: Logged |

What do you guys think about Bush's threat to nuke Iraq? ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Stupid. He doen't have a viable reason, and even if he did, it would set a really bad precedent. If he tells everyone else not to use nukes and then uses them himself... India and Pakistan might use them then, etc. etc. Beside, its just saber rattling. No nukes is good nukes!!!

He said if they bring out chemical and/or biological weapons against us, we would use a nuclear bomb. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." It's very strange logic going on there, bin laden bombed us so let's bomb Irak! of course there's more to it than that but when you take some steps back & look at it that's what you see.IP: Logged |

I dunno... if Bush pushes hard enough... what the hell, it's pointless to speculate, either it'll happen or it won't, we'll find out soon enough anyway.Let's enjoy this holday season while we can. War is so un- Christmaslike. Hmm, I haven't been following that. It would be hard to deal with Iraq and North Korea at the same time, would it not? North Korea probably picked this time to make its moves, knowing the US is distracted.------------------ No longer mourn for me when I am dead Than you shall hear the surly sullen bell Give warning to the world that I am fled From this vile world, with vilest worms to dwell. -Shakespeare IP: Logged |
