Personally, I don't vote either. I'm registered, I just don't vote. I'd make absolutely no sense. Right now I'm an Independent, but if I was going to vote I'd register as a Republican (people are rolling in their graves as I speak to hear me say that, )I guess if I did decide to vote though I'd vote for the candidate who didn't get any votes, this year, probably Ralph Nader (hey, didn't Linda talk about him in her books???) See, so I'd register Republican, but vote out of the party lines. IP: Logged |

GREEN PARTY Ralph Nader is truely an honest politician and he has proven so by his years of selfless service. Also, I do have to say, these days, I really agree with the Libertarians concerning keeping government out of out personal affairs. If I get laid off from my job, I've decided that I'm going to volunteer for the Green Party (among other things, like perhaps hospice) when I am on unemployment. ChandraIP: Logged |

I am in Canada, so we have different parties ...we have: Progressive Conservative Liberal NDP (a socialist party) Green Party (environmental) Reform (I will refrain from posting what I really think this party is ... the name is misleading) I usually vote PC so to try to prevent the liberal getting in again ... but I am truly a Green supporter. I scratched out one of their names and added mine Really, I didn't. But it'd figure. I myself have come to this conclusion: Modern society has the same hierarchy as medieval europe. Labour, Government chairs, President vs. Peasants, Nobles, King
(simplified, of course.) Labour and peasants do the work. They're the backbone of society and in fact, hold the world's potential in their own hands. They are the majority of the population but are given (very) little free will of their own (if you consider propaganda, no individual choice <going with majority>, pressure to lead lives in certain ways...) Government chairs and nobles don't really make the rules- or, if they do, it has to be accepted by the higher power (President/King). They are the enforcers of the rules, and Have more free will than the peasants/labourers. Presidents and Kings have the most free will of any individual. There is not total free will, but they are able to enforce or break rules depending on whim (but usually they're smart enough to keep things hushed, OR not mention changes. Most rules are affected on Governmental levels that I've seen). Anyhow, this is all IMHO, but I think politics originally were meant to protect the individual and the individual's health (mind, body, emotional) Not to imprison him or her. I still prefer a single ruler for the fact that we only have one person to be mad at, and less money being sucked up IP: Logged |

Yivy ~ actually, they are. There is a satellite which monitors *all* phone calls, radio waves, etc. All conversation that is transmitted by phone, radio, cellphone, etc., is monitored. If *they* hear a word, (bad word, like b*mb) or something, the computer is flagged to record that entire conversation. Believe it or not. It's true. I saw it on TV. They also can *watch* us whenever they want. Satellites can zero in on us, from way up there. Also, the Illuminati is trying to make a New World Order - Randall knows about this too - from a book, "Behold a Pale Horse". It's a sick, sad world we live in, that's why I like my fairy-bubble world. IP: Logged |

Ralph Nader has always seemed like a trustworthy kind of guy to me but I'm not sure about him for president. But I'd love to see him in some job where he could look out for the good of our country. (I just can't remember what all the job titles are!!) Maybe the job Tom Ridge has now...only he could protect us from our own goverment!! Has anyone heard of the Natural Law Party? They talk about it alot on Wisdom Television. John Haglen (sp??) is the head of it. I know he's a physicist and he's always talking about how bad genetically modified food is on the enviroment and our health. He admits to "meditating" every day. (Never have I heard a politician admit to that!) I haven't made up my mind on anyone but those two men are worth listening to in my opinion.
I just don't see much difference at all between the Democrats and Republicans anymore. I know what I am!!! I'm an AGNOSTIC!! IP: Logged |

I've got a great solution. When you're communicating, just replace the offending word with a nonsense word that the two or more people agree on. That way, you can talk about anything and the computer doesn't register it. IP: Logged |

I guess voting against someone who sucks is a good idea, but when is there ever a better choice? Voting for the lessor of two evils just doesn't cut it.When I vote, I like to vote against the encumbant if there is one because you can bet they are serving themself - or in local elections, where it's possible, I like to vote for the person with a background as far away from big business or law as possible ------------------ ~We can try many ways to get rid of the darkness, but none is as effective as simply increasing the light.~ UnkNown IP: Logged |

Reading the earlier posts have gotten me all "riled up" and opinionated....I better not say a word! What are those three magical topics that stir up controversy? Ahhh, yes: sex, religion, and politics.

I recently wondered why people get so riled up about politics...I came to the conclusion it has to be the same reason why people get riled up about religion, or some other matters like abortion. People choose someone or something to represent some of their beliefs. Since beliefs are very important to all of us, and are a part of who we are...our opinions, I guess we all take it personally sometimes when someone doesn't believe in what we believe in, we somehow feel it translates that the person doesn't believe in us, or value our opinions.Yes, I know I've just stated something everyone knows Sorry, it's 1:45 a.m. IP: Logged |
