Wow, LL...you know, I saw the posters EVERY day for mnths afterwards as the armory across the street from my school was where they originally had people start putting up posters for their missing loved ones. It makes me sick just thinking about it.

I've never felt so peacefully angry! This whole situation HAS deeper meaning and carries a message wider than our minds. Better so. I believe our task is to take a position, here and now, and speak out as loud as possible: WE ALL ARE ONE! EVERY SINGLE LIFE MATTERS!

Dreamflake... what an eye-opener! How disturbing, but oh my Godess, how equally important it was to see that!

What makes my-S-Elf sick is realising that a majority of humans have become so utterly insensitive beings that they now sit at home watching LIVE coverage of a WAR!?

Are we that lost?

It is both our task and our duty to protest. Taking a standpoint against a war is not enough. It needs active opposition: now and forever. Any war. Any-where. Any time. EVERY life is important. I AM EXPECTING PEACE.

Harpyr, what a great GREAT man Mahatma Gandhi (was) is!

Lost Leo, I don't understand the purpose of your post here. Was your site supposed to be an alibi for all the horrors we see in Dreamflake's post? I am firmly of the view it is grossly and tragically misplaced. No one has forgotten the 09/11 victims. Or ever will.

I also wish there were names and further information about the people on Dreamflake site as there are on yours, LL.

War is horrible from all sides. The photos are atrocious but I noticed that this website you linked has things that were mainly of consequence by American military or so it is inferred. (I would never believe anything from al jeezera, as they are a only an anti american propaganda machine...for all we know they couldve done some of it themselves, they seem to have the reputation for it).......I am a little confused about something. The situation in regard to Afganistan, um, 3000 people in the US lost their lives. I don't see anyone posting pictures of people leaping from the World Trade Centers or better yet, their bodies splatting on the ground below because they did not want to face their imminent death of being burned alive or from smoke inhalation. Are many of you saying we couldve been diplomatic in regard to a terrorist organization or that we shouldve done absolutely nothing and just wait to be attacked yet again and lose 3,000 more lives? Peace would not resolve the issues with that terrorist cell......SHOULD I POST SOME PHOTOS OF SEPTEMBER 11TH??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Alena Welcome back...
quote:
Are many of you saying we couldve been diplomatic in regard to a terrorist organization or that we shouldve done absolutely nothing

No, no one is saying that... at least I'm not

In my opinion, it is all terrible. Obviously the world's ability to communicate and understand eachother (diplomacy: 1. The art or practice of conducting international relations, as in negotiating alliances, treaties, and agreements. 2. Tact and skill in dealing with people.) has been pretty weak for decades... or we really wouldn't be seeing these problems. It is true that if we make more of an effort NOW to be more communicative, forgiving, understanding and peaceful with other countries, in 10-20 years (or sooner) we won't see things like this happening.

Actually, if one could step outside "politics" for a minute and view what I'm talking about (peaceful communication and forgiveness) as rising above karma, then what I am proposing would make alot more sense.

But I also understand that not everyone believes in karma... so, maybe we need to find a way to integrate it all so that everyone has similar understanding on the same playing field. For instance, agree that no one has to change or be forced to change, but we can still be respectful to eachother and be peaceful... and if you have done something I don't like (in the past or now), I can forgive you and you may appreciate that gesture so much that you will at least communicate with me. And by that I mean, don't give me ultimatums or treat me like you are better or know what is best for me, because it's common psychology that if you challenge someone's ego, you will get only resistance.

Anyway... I think I'm done...Oh well... believe it or not.

Hi Pearly .

I know exactly what you mean by karma and peaceful negotiations. I try to practice it in my own life. See but here's my thing.......some of these guys are so filled with hatred and evil I do not think that peace wouldve helped. They seem to be so far gone that I don't think they will change their actions/thoughts in this lifetime. Honestly, I've really thought long and hard about it. And I know you are not debating politics, you are talking about spirituality and evolution.

Hi Alena

Maybe you are right about them being so far gone at this point. I mean, just look at the things Saddam and others have done, it's terrible... no one can deny the obvious. I just get sad because it seems like confrontation, force and war is the only way we seem to know how to handle things... and we usually only care after things are way out of control. I know this war is taking place for reasons beyond what a person could know, I just hope that in the future, we take the road less traveled and get rid of the karma instead of creating more.

Anyway, I do feel where you are coming from as well. Thank you for understanding me

I am very, but VERY sad and disappointed.

We all came to this site with one vision, and seem fail the very first test we're confronted with: seeing things beyond the wrapping!

Every life matters, Alena, and I hope my english IS that bad and I misunderstood whatever you ment to say.

EVERY life matters. Do you get it? And what happens now is innocent people being killed. What I've linked was just to wake up this fact within you, that no being should end up that way, and that's what probbably happens down there NOW.

Please, open your heart, and erase the nationality of every living being's face that you see on TV, when you're watching news.

Pray, and meditate, for peace! That's what I do.

I got this one Alena...

Dreamflake,

1) Don't tell me what vision I came to this sight with, everyone has their own vision.

2) First of all, the Coalition is trying its damndest not to harm civilians

3) Second, shall we lose few innocent lives now, or MANY MORE innocent people when the weapons being developed are used against civilians?

4) "Every life counts" well damn straight! Every f***n life lost on 9/11, every life lost thru Saddam's tyranny to stay in power, & every possible life counts that we may lose if we do not do anything to combat terrorism & this regime.

5) YOU, of all people, should understand that we cannot turn our back on this tyrant & his weapons development...

Or should we have just turned our back on Milosevic and let him destroy your country???

Such short memories some Europeans have...

Dreamflake, I am well aware that every life matters. Thanks for feeling the need to point that out but I also wonder why no one ever mentions 9/11 as a horror, I never see anyone post those pictures here nor have I ever really seen it discussed. You talk and show pictures of the horrors of other countries but not the one that has happened here. That's also why Lost Leo posted the link to the names of victims of 9/11. Many people on this forum are posting pictures of human tragedy but none are of what has happened here in the US ...........and I have to ask, why? It's almost as if to say it didn't happen, and that makes **me** sad and disappointed.

Alena, maybe no one is posting 9/11 pictures because this war against Iraq/Saddam - that we are discussing - has nothing to do with 9/11...at least, this was not this the reason alleged by the American government for this invasion...

If my memory doesn't fail, the reasons were that Iraq possessed chemical weapons of mass destruction and that Saddam was a dictator that needed to be removed from power...

NO ONE HAS PROVED a connection between 9/11 and Saddam... the problem is that fundamentalists are confused with Shiite that are confused with Sunnite that are confused with Muslims etc, etc...

9/11 is a scar not just in the soul of the Americans, but in all human beings of this planet that cares for each others
... but as far as I know, this war has nothing to do with that...

Jakie, it has everything to do with it.

I'll spell it out for you

T-E-R-R-O-R-I-S-M

So Jakie, are we to trust on Saddam Hussein's boy scout honor that he will not let the weapons he's developing in his country to fall into the hands of terrorists?

Terrorists who will use them to attack civilians in the US.

Just answer me this, so you trust him not to let them get into the hands of terrorists, do you Jakie??? Please let me know...

Jakie, you are missing my point. It's a website that has pictures of victims of war, all from other countries. Why is it that no one ever shows pictures of 9/11? How about the dead or maimed US soldiers that were fighting in WWII to help free Europe from Hitler? Jakie, please please do not take offense at what I am about to say because I am not directing it at you.......but I have a feeling of anti american sentiment from around the world and even within this country. No matter what this country does, it is the wrong thing in the eyes of the rest of the world. There is also a whole lot of propaganda out there which is meant to defame or bring down this country. You may not understand where I am coming from because you don't live here. Like I said before, please do not take it as an insult.

I think we should stop this foolish discussion and pray and meditate for a change.
And I also believe we are all way behing both Saddam's and Bush's plans: we don't know a s***!
That's why I don't want to see the surface of this war or any other wars!
I've heared theories and theories about 9/11, and I don't want to listen to any of them. The point is: I wouldn't like to die in such a violent way, nor my family, nor anyone in this planet.

I used to work on a cruise ship in Carribean years ago, while there was a war in ex Yugoslavia and I met thousands of Americans, and I have many friends there, but very few of them knew where Croatia was although it was mentioned daily, even in the ship's newspapers. Some of those people even thought it was somewhere within the USA!?

My point is, we all don't know the real truth of any war, or terrorist's attack. We can only eat what they serve on TV, or see it through higher eyes and pray and meditate.

Please, don't get me wrong, but we all are one, you can't separate Saddam's or Bush's energies from our own, we all create our reality!
