I realise there is only a minority of people wrecking it for the others but the vibe in this forum is so un-knowflake like, and it doesn’t belong in Lindaland.

I know there is a war going on and people have such diverse opinions about it but can’t we celebrate our diversity instead of showing no respect for a person who has a different opinion to your own?

All of this article posting is quite tiring…I know that everyone has a right to post articles but I am sure people don't even read them all. It is quite frustrating having to skim through articles and try and pick out the bits where people are actually having their say.

I also dislike the fact (and not everyone is guilty of it) that some people think if you don’t have the education then your argument is not worthy and your opinion is without merit. I say jump off your soapbox and take a look around. There is so much more to life. The aggression and ego-tripping is foul, it is really off and I don’t think people’s feelings are being taken seriously or into account at all.

People here do not need to be put down or labelled as ‘lame’ or whatever hurtful comments you come up with at the time. I learned my lesson by having an argument with one person in particular. When I stepped back and contemplated my actions I realised I was simply bringing myself down to their level and made the decision not to go back down.

I don’t think that some people even took heed to Randal’s post ‘play nice or play elsewhere’ although some people did. I enjoy reading the posts from these people and it’s a shame they are being let down by a certain few.

But I hope you will reconsider leaving the forum because your ideas and insights ARE so valuable. If you walk away, you let the negativity win.

I don't think that the education argument was geared towards anyone on this forum. It was in relation to the celebrities using their face time to call the adminstration "dumb, unintelligent and so forth" when in fact the majority of those celebrities never went on to a higher education.

It was taken out of context by someone and applied to everyone in an attempt to start a new battle over who is educated. Instead of just accepting the fact that the celebs, although allowed to have their opinion, stoop to a low level by calling people dumb.

I think it is almost censorship to want to put down this forum or even insinuate that we shouldn't have it or that a "handful" of people are ruining it.

Geez, we all have different lifestyles and opinions. Mine are as valid as yours. I have seen some name calling, some people hinting that women that are conservative should be relegated to a position similar to a muslim woman in a burka (which I assume means "kept in her place"), people being called liars without any merit to back up the accusation.

It is as though, if someone supports the country, the war or is even conservative, then that opinion is seen as a threat and the person is ruining the LL board for everyone else.

These topics, no matter how sensitive, should be addressed. I may totally differ with Carlo, but I believe he has the right to say what he wants and I would never censor him. If I don't feel like reading his long articles, then I skip the thread. Hell, he even wants to trade my vagina for a warm beer. That made me laugh, that's just the way it is. If he makes me mad, I'll tell him. Right Carlo?

I like what Alena, Donna, jwhop, and Lost Leo have to say, but I don't just read only what they write. Quite frankly, if this website was made of only one kind of person with one agenda / belief, HOW BORING.

I understand what you are saying and maybe I am missing something that was said to RRR on another threat or something. All I know is that I have personally seen the hypocritical nature of some of those that cry "FOUL" in a loud voice only to turn around and completely put down and ridicule someone in the next sentence. So to me, one has to play by the same rules that they demand other to play by. I am not directing this towards RRR at all.

RRR is totally right that people do not need to stoop to such a low level as to berate someone for not having an education or making someone feel stupid for their beliefs.
