Do you remember reading Shirley Jackson's "The Lottery" in school? I was horrified then, but so glad it was only fiction.

Sometimes, Oxy, I wonder where the progress is, in human nature. *sigh*

Or perhaps the more accurate question is: why is it a matter progress?? Why don't we just, know.
