I've been reading alot of books about prophesy and future predictions. The most profound info I found was in a book called "The World To Come" by Ruth Mongomery.
She recieves her info through automatic writing, which is what I do too on occasions.
For those who don't know what auto writing is, it's pretty self explantory. You just write automatically without thinking, with the help of spirits on the other side you can get some pretty interesting knowledge!
Anyways, Ruth Mongomery speaks of a time in the future between 2010 and 2012 when our Great Mother Earth will start to replenish herself, they call this the "Shift", apparently this has happened many times before hundreds of years ago maybe even thousands. The "Shift" will cause earthquakes, tidalwaves, floods and so on.
Before this happens though she says there will be a US president who will know safe places for people to go. This president will be very wise and spiritual, he will help other countries to find safe places and so on. Ruth's helpers (spirits) say this president will be a "walk-in".
For those who are not familiar with this term, a walk-in is a spirit who inhabits a body here on earth. This can only happen when the ex-inhabitant really needs to leave this earth plane and the new inhabitant has a really special mission to accomplish here on earth and has no time to be born as a baby.

I thought it was really interesting, I'll post more about this!

I read that too a while back. It still intrigues me to this day. She also says that everyone would notice how transformed he would become. She says that this president would get into an accident and escape death, but afterward he would be a walk-in, and everyone would notice the changes in him. That always stuck in my mind for some reason. Could be ludicrous though.

Yes, the Celestine Prophecy is a wonderful book, Philbird!

On another note, the "shift" is really a scary notion and one that I've been reading a lot about lately. Are any of you convinced enough to pick up and move?

You know, I absolutely hated The Celestine Prophecy when I read it, but it was so long ago I can't remember why.
Truth be told, though, I'm not a fan of prophecies.

Actually the "shift", in my opinion is not scary at all because either way life goes on and on and on.....and Mother Nature needs this obviously right, Ruth's guides say that this is a long awaited universal law......the "shift" was originally supposed to take place a while back but becuase the world is getting more spiritually enlightened, I guess it was delayed. It makes sense to me! The point of Ruth's book "The World To Come" in my opinion was to erge the need to be at one with our dear Mother Earth, to be at the same energy level as Her. Some wouldn't even think twice about this and say it's bull but me personally I believe it because the way that particular book came to me. It rings true to me!

I watched a special on PBS a few months back that talked about how the magnetic poles are moving. True North is no longer where it was even 100 years ago. I'm not into science all that much so I didn't listen with both ears, only one, but it seemed like they were saying that as the poles shift (eventually they will be completely upside down) the Earth will lose some of its gravitational pull. The land itself will start to come "undone." They were talking to a geologist who has found signs in the layes of rock that this happened millions of years ago. Now that you mention the shift i wish I had paid more attention to what they were saying. I think I remember something about it being violent enough that Earth could lose all gravity.

Just my one cent (it's not worth two).
