So many people behave as though Idealism is a bad word... sort of like how the right made Liberal a bad word. But really. Let's think about what Idealism is. It is ideal, is it not? Even the most staunch Republican cannot deny that Idealism IS ideal for our country. Somewhere along the way so many of us have forgotten what it's like to believe in Idealism, and we settle for which ever government official we choose on our ballets.
Just for fun... here are the definitions of liberal and ideal

i·de·al
A conception of something in its absolute perfection.
One that is regarded as a standard or model of perfection or excellence.
An ultimate object of endeavor; a goal.
An honorable or worthy principle or aim.
Neither of these are BAD words. I sure wish people would stop ascribing negative meanings to them out of bias and bigotry.
