Dear Mr. Bush:

Any idea where all our helicopters are? It's Day 5 of Hurricane Katrina and thousands remain stranded in New Orleans and need to be airlifted. Where on earth could you have misplaced all our military choppers? Do you need help finding them? I once lost my car in a Sears parking lot. Man, was that a drag.

Also, any idea where all our national guard soldiers are? We could really use them right now for the type of thing they signed up to do like helping with national disasters. How come they weren't there to begin with?

Last Thursday I was in south Florida and sat outside while the eye of Hurricane Katrina passed over my head. It was only a Category 1 then but it was pretty nasty. Eleven people died and, as of today, there were still homes without power. That night the weatherman said this storm was on its way to New Orleans. That was Thursday! Did anybody tell you? I know you didn't want to interrupt your vacation and I know how you don't like to get bad news. Plus, you had fundraisers to go to and mothers of dead soldiers to ignore and smear. You sure showed her!

I especially like how, the day after the hurricane, instead of flying to Louisiana, you flew to San Diego to party with your business peeps. Don't let people criticize you for this -- after all, the hurricane was over and what the heck could you do, put your finger in the dike?

And don't listen to those who, in the coming days, will reveal how you specifically reduced the Army Corps of Engineers' budget for New Orleans this summer for the third year in a row. You just tell them that even if you hadn't cut the money to fix those levees, there weren't going to be any Army engineers to fix them anyway because you had a much more important construction job for them -- BUILDING DEMOCRACY IN IRAQ!

On Day 3, when you finally left your vacation home, I have to say I was moved by how you had your Air Force One pilot descend from the clouds as you flew over New Orleans so you could catch a quick look of the disaster. Hey, I know you couldn't stop and grab a bullhorn and stand on some rubble and act like a commander in chief. Been there done that.

There will be those who will try to politicize this tragedy and try to use it against you. Just have your people keep pointing that out. Respond to nothing. Even those pesky scientists who predicted this would happen because the water in the Gulf of Mexico is getting hotter and hotter making a storm like this inevitable. Ignore them and all their global warming Chicken Littles. There is nothing unusual about a hurricane that was so wide it would be like having one F-4 tornado that stretched from New York to Cleveland.

No, Mr. Bush, you just stay the course. It's not your fault that 30 percent of New Orleans lives in poverty or that tens of thousands had no transportation to get out of town. C'mon, they're black! I mean, it's not like this happened to Kennebunkport. Can you imagine leaving white people on their roofs for five days? Don't make me laugh! Race has nothing -- NOTHING -- to do with this!

You hang in there, Mr. Bush. Just try to find a few of our Army helicopters and send them there. Pretend the people of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast are near Tikrit.

Yours,

Michael Moore

P.S. That annoying mother, Cindy Sheehan, is no longer at your ranch. She and dozens of other relatives of the Iraqi War dead are now driving across the country, stopping in many cities along the way. Maybe you can catch up with them before they get to DC on September 21st.

I have to be honest: Michael Moore often annoys the ever-loving shite out of me, but sometimes - oh, sometimes he's marvelous.

With all due respect, Michael Moore is part of the problem. He only tells the half of the story that fits with his agenda which, by the way, is the same as Bush's. He and Bush are on the same team.

Believe it, or not.

All the more reason for Michael Moore to be less one sided when he covers such touchy subjects.

He prooved in Bowling for Columbine that he is well capable of producing an unbiased well researched story. Then he came out with the farenhiet 911,,,, from the start he comes off as a typical "liberal" media monger with an obveous vandeta against Bush . From there on in his documentary things just kept on the one side only trek. Whole thing was a failure, because of simple vandeta and bias.

Especialy since I beleived his accusations to be significant, imprtant, and worth a look into--- he should have been responsable enough to cover the questions at hand with precise justice, and every possable point of view he could find to look through, with no mud slinging.

Amazing how when covering national pollitics so many seem to forget their heads, and common sense on how to logicaly show an argument for the point at hand.

Well ... he is part of the anti-establishment establishment. Which is really as much a part of the establishment as the establishment is ... right?

The same team of one-sided, controlled, carefully-crafted propaganda creators, Ra?

Is he Karma to the Administration? For every action there is an equal, yet conspicuously similar reaction?

Just saying what Magus said in a different way.

Moore did not go far enough. He ignored some very good, very well known (relatively) data that would have easily and greatly bolstered his "side" of the argument. Why? I saw someone ask him that very question and all Moore had to say was "That would be unAmerican."

He did Bush a favour by making him appear to be a bumbling clown. It is far easier for us to believe, and to say "Bush is an idiot, what a clown, look what he has allowed to happen. What an idiot." ... than to believe, and to say "All of these circumstances (many of which we, the public, have been brainwashed to forget, even though most of it made it to the evening news, however briefly) can in no way be coincidental. Our government is completely corrupt, from the top, down. We are slaves who will believe and do anything that our government (and the press) tells us. Bush and company (which includes plenty of Democrats) are laughing all the way to the bank and we will do nothing to stop it."

Moore makes it very easy for us to buy the first story. We want to. We do not want to believe the second statement, although it is much closer to the truth. It is too disruptive. And so we stay under control. Moore is helping "them" keep us under control.

Does anyone remember seeing on the news about the drills that the military was conducting on September 11th?

Does anyone remember that Cheney assumed command of Norad (a vice-presidential first) a couple of months before 9-11? He made some pretty weird commands on that day, including ordering our intercepting fighters to fly at less than 400 mph (I think it was 350ish). That is VERY SLOW for one of these jets. Doesn't anyone else think that is kind of strange?

Does anyone remember the story about "building number 7"?

Has anyone seen any footage, or heard any eye-witness testimony concerning the plane that crashed into the Pentagon? Do you remember about that, about what people said?

There is so much ...

Ra.....some very good food for thought....

I think I know where you're coming from, having looked into "other possibilities," regarding Bush and company....

I know the "joke/sham/disgrace" that is our government is terribly, terribly wrong. It's frightening how we the American people (sheeple) allowed two elections in a row to be stolen, and a madman wage an insane war, which has taken the lives of so many of our young Americans, not to mention all the innocent civilians in Iraq.

How so many people can be blinded by the brain washing rhetoric "the troops are fighting for our freedom" (like right!), is beyond me.

I wonder sometimes, if the majority of us have been victims of the CIA's MKUltra mind control...

I could go on and on, but I've spoken this piece before on this forum, only to be "intimidated" into silence by the many adament Bush worshipers here, thereby remaining silent on the subject as of late, and refraining from expressing my honest opinion! (I'm a tad on the thinned skinned side - what with a water Ascendant, Moon, not to mention five natal planets in water)...

Rainbow & MG,

... and he (Cheney) was against the constitutional amendment taking the power to decide the definition of marriage away from the states.

Greedy and racist, maybe... well, more than likely. Retarded and homophobic, I doubt it. He's no idiot.

Neither is Bush really... he just comes off that way. He certainly isn't one of our brightest minds, but I really doubt anyone can be as stupid as he makes himself seem.

Hey... maybe it's all part of his game plan? Maybe if we all think he is that stupid, we won't be surprised by his bumbling mistakes.

Bush & Co. are clearly useless in a crisis.

RA, Excellent food for thought! Thanks.

MKUltra is just the tip of the iceberg. Of course, the methods used for mass control of the collective American brain-wave are necessarily far more subtle. I don't mean to get too far off subject (but I suppose they are related), but ... does anyone know where public water flouridation originated? And why?

We just keep drinking the cool-aide.

And they just keep mixing it up.
