I was not for the invasion and war with Iraq, am p*ssed to this day about the duplicity that I see being used as justification for our being there, and am immmeasurably saddened by the deaths on all sides and atrocities perpetrated by all around - but I don't think that we should have an unconditional, immediate pull-out.
Staying is a bad option, but leaving would be worse.

2 Iraqi Teachers Slain in Front of Pupils
Email this Story

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Militants broke into two schools in a mainly Shiite district of Baghdad and killed two teachers in front of their pupils, the government said Wednesday.

The attack occurred at the Amna and Shaheed Hamdi elementary schools in Baghdad's Shaab neighborhood, the statement from the Ministry for National Security said.

The statement did not specify when the attacks occurred, but residents said they happened Wednesday. One teacher was killed at each school.

No further details were released.

Pupils at elementary schools in Iraq range in age from 6 to 12 years.

The insurgent and slipping-into-civil war activity that we currently see is penny ante compared to what will/would go on without an outside military presence.

Petron, you can't honestly think that poking a snake pit then walking away is the right thing to do?
