Apparently Algore is whacky enough for the current crop of fringe radicals who have taken over the democrat party.

Ann Coulter: Gore ‘Perfect Democrat Candidate' in 2008

Ann Coulter supports an Al Gore candidacy for the White House in 2008.

Yes, you read that correctly.

The conservative firebrand author and columnist, appearing Monday on Fox News Channel, said Gore is just the right ticket for Democrats in the next race for the White House. [Editor’s Note: Get Ann Coulter's blockbuster new book "Godless: The Church of Liberalism" for an unbeatable price.]

"He is the perfect Democratic candidate,” Coulter said. "The environmental crazies are really leading the pack in the Democratic Party. It used to be the abortion ladies, but the enviros are about to heave them off the boat because they haven’t helped them win elections.”

Coulter feels heartened by Gore’s constant chatter about "global warming,” which she predicted in an earlier book, would be the defining issue for Democrats in the upcoming election.

"As I predicted in 'Slander,' the Democrats have taken on global warming as their big issue, which they concede that - if it happens - won’t really happen for 1,000 years. Good luck!”

Coulter made some predictions of her own. She said the Democrats will pick up seats in the 2006 Congressional races, but "if the Democrats don’t get at least 50 seats in the House – as the GOP did in 1994 – they should just hang it up.”

She based her prediction on history.

"This ought to be the Democrats’ year,” Coulter said. "They’ve been losing for so long. They have not been able to win a national election with more than 50 percent of the vote since 1976, when Jimmy Carter won with less than 51 percent.”

Coulter said if the election is based on so-called "pocketbook issues,” the GOP should win big, but that is not likely to happen.

"It’s amazing how well the economy is doing,” she said, "but the mainstream media has a vested interest in not pointing out how well the economy is doing.
"As someone else has pointed out in the past," she continued, "whenever a Republican president is elected, suddenly the media notices homeless people again.”

Boy, she's rich!

2004 - George W. Bush wins with 50.7% of the vote (won with less than 51 percent)

2000 - George W. Bush wins with 47.87% of the vote, which is less than Al Gore's 48.38%

1996 - Ross Perot wins 8% of the vote and Clinton STILL got 49%

1992 - Clinton 43.28%, George H.W. Bush 37.69%, Ross Perot 19%

Republicans haven't had to deal with a third party who actually gets votes, which is the only reason Clinton didn't win with more than 50%. He won by an average 6.8% over Republicans in two elections (which 'W' hasn't done in even a single election), and he was president until 6 and a half years ago (so her exaggeration about time is more than a tad ridiculous).

But, hey, whatever you guys need to tell yourselves to make you feel good. I guess that's the difference between integrity and being a blow-hard.

Hmmm... it almost sounds like Republican presidencies are rough on the poor. I wonder what causes that perception.

Perception is what it is too acoustic, not reality.

Just so you know acoustic, because there's a vast quantity of readily available knowledge you could know but don't bother to find out, cities, counties and states are responsible for the homeless who live within their jurisdictions, not the President of the United States.

Funny how the leftist press always seems to find them when a Republican is in the White House but ignores the homeless when it's a democrat there. The homeless don't just go away now do they acoustic.

Would you like to discuss Reagan's winning percentage of the vote in 1980? How about Reagan's winning percentage in 1984?

Would you like to discuss George H. W. Bush's winning percentage in 1988?

Were it not for Ross Perot Commander Corruption would never have been President to infest the White House at all.

We could talk about Reagan or George Bush the elder, however, it's the premise that Democrats have, "been losing for so long," and trying to tie back to the 70's that is a ridiculous thing to put forward.

I don't recall seeing whatever articles you're/she's referring to.

Yes, homelessness is ever-present, and it's on the rise. This site seems to believe that the Federal governement can help.

Democrats have been losing control of governemnt..federal and state since the bungling, incompetent Jimmy Carter. They've lost House and Senate seats and lost the Presidency 7 out of the last 10 elections going back to Nixon.

They lost control of both the House and Senate in 1994 and only briefly regained control since.

There's always a group wanting to do away with this problem or that...if the government will only shower them with money. The homeless question is only one such issue and there are those who wish to create another whole level of federal bureaucracy to deal with the homeless.

No doubt that would be just as successful as the various welfare programs which spent about $70,000 per welfare family...25 years ago..while providing a pittance to those on welfare. Welfare for bureaucrats is more like it.

Homelessness is best dealt with at the state and local level...where the homeless reside...except for the DC area which would fall under federal jurisdiction.

This is a joke right? ROFllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

They couldn't even protect our country from a terrorist attack, They have made US hatred of the world grow more which in my opinion is dangerous because one day we are going to get hit harder then anyone has ever seen.

They ignored residents of a state during a horribile hurricane that killed a bunch of people, They waited 5 days before they even sent help. Imagine 5 days without food or water? Unfortunately, many people died because of this also.

Not my type of government at all. They are for themselves. not the people.

Well since you don't have the brain capacity to make any changes MG nor do you have the guts to see any changes through, why don't ya leave?

People like you are funny. You have little or nothing to offer society with the exception of little stupid blurbs that you think summerize all that has happened.

"They couldn't protect our country" Yet we all know that 9/11 was more than Republican's not protecting the country - yet you reduce it to a simple yet stupid sentence without regard to the complexity of it all.

You also make the same mistake in blaming Bush and the government for Katrina when there was failing from the government to the inhabitants and let's face it... it was a NATURAL DISASTER.

But that is lost on someone like you, who most likely blames everyone for her failings in life. What's wrong MG - you can't take the blame for your own mistakes so you apply this principle in your life? Do you blame your parents for how you turned out. Do you blame your teachers for the inability to succeed? Or better yet, blame the government for your inability to thrive in business where others have no problem.

Then you come to a website like this and start blaming everyone else for your bitterness. It's white people, it's Bush, it's those people from small rural communities because you are just so damn profound coming from a big city. Missy, you couldn't live one freaking day in a small community. DO you know why? Because you can't hide behind mass numbers of people in a population. YOU HAVE TO BE REAL!

You'd get run out for your anger, your bitterness and your inability to contribute anything of worth to the society as a whole. Well hell, no wonder you hate small towns so much!!
