"Apparently, those leftist "peace lovers" weren't overly concerned about Saddam murdering about a million Iraqi citizens. Weren't overly concerned when Saddam killed about a million Iranians. And weren't overly concerned when Saddam invaded Kuwait and murdered thousands of Kuwaiti citizens before being thrown out of Kuwait."
-jwhop

now why the hell is american politics or bush concerned about all that sadam did to countried other than US is my question??? doesnot bush have concerns of his own country. leaders who engage in war just want an escape or excuse to keep internal issues pending.

"jwhop forgot to reply on this"

I see no need to respond to every leftist crackpot's question posted on this forum; particularly when the answer is obvious.

If leftists had the intelligence of a brick, they wouldn't be leftists and wouldn't be posing absurd questions in the first place.

Still waiting for that reasonable, logical, sensible argument...against the war.

"If and when I see a sensible, logical argument put forth against the war, I'll respond in like manner.

All I've seen here are vitriolic and lying personal attacks against the President. I respond in kind...except that I tell the truth about leftists and those who support the treasonous left and their terrorist friends and murderous dictators.

Your post is just another example of a leftist who is incapable of making a logical, sensible, reasonable argument."

Those questions are what everyone should ask. unlike you...you stay quiet like an idiot and take Bush's words as enough evidence.

You can't think for yourself.

And you cannot answer these questions because you are afraid to admit you don't know the answers to them so instead they are stupid leftist questions.

Stupidity reigns supreme on the left.

What else would one expect but stupid questions and stupid statements from leftists.

Lenin said it best of leftist sycophant followers and fellow travelers
..."useful idiots"

Um, does that apply to WWII, too? I remember many complaining that we didn't get involved soon enough then. So now the argument just gets switched around?

I guess the powerful and rich countries shouldn't get involved to help the less powerful and less wealthy citizens of the world against tyrannical maniacs or anything else. Which is odd because I've heard a lot about how rich and powerful individuals are oh so greedy and evil for not helping less fortunate individuals "as much as they can". So one person with wealth and power is expected to help a whole bunch of individuals less well off than them but wealthier and powerful countries have no business taking interest in the misfortune of countries/people less well off than themselves?

It's the oddest argument I've heard. Microcosm/macrocosm is not just a theoretical concept to be applied whimsically.

Heck, let's just turn a blind eye to what is happening in the rest of the world. Who cares? Let's make America the best country we can make it and, if everyone else is oppressed or starving or homeless or whatever else ... we shouldn't care. Let's be a country of self-centered, selfish people with no regard for what is going on outside our boundaries. Wait ... doesn't that sound a little isolationist?

And the argument that we should just give them our money and "help them" but turn a blind eye to things that might cause conflict is beyond ludicrous.
"Hey, my neighbor's family is down on their luck. So he beats his wife, rapes his daughter and has his son doing his dirty work. I wouldn't want to get involved and call the police or CPS and cause conflict. Just imagine, his poor family would have nowhere to go and they might even get more hurt. Better to leave them be the way they are. Who knows, maybe they're happy. It's simply none of my business either way. I'll just give them all this money and food and clothes and I'll feel all warm and squishy inside knowing I did my part to spread peace and love throughout the world."

------------------
"To learn is to live, to study is to grow, and growth is the measurement of life. The mind must be taught to think, the heart to feel, and the hands to labor. When these have been educated to their highest point, then is the time to offer them to the service of their fellowman, not before." - Manly P. Hall

american soldiers and people might have considerd the iraq war as an effor to free iraq from saddam's attrocities but definitely not american politics. any political party wouldn't care for that matter.

in simple words... while americans civilians and soldiers think they are fighting a noble cause, i feel that their trust is being misused.

its really good to care for other civilizations. thats what the new age is all about...sharing and caring. being the most powerful, americans know their place in the world and know why its important to get rid of evil. if evil is allowed to grow it would ultimately cause the peaceful world to pay...like it did in WW2 with hitler's rise.

but don't u think there should be a guideline for politicians not only for US but any country to follow.. as to when they have to mind other's business and when not?

tell me frankly... doesnt US have its own internal problems that are pending? u know best which problems they are, i'm an outsider. shortlist these problems and tell me what bush or his administration has done to solve them and u shall know the truth.

i work in a contact center called Convergys. it is an american firm. and the client i take calls for is Bellsouth ISP. i had a caller the other day who was crying on the phone. she was from florida.

i had identified a virus issue on her pc because of which she was not able to surf the internet. she needed the internet connection very badly for her studies but she didn't have any money to pay for a good antivirus or a pc upgrade.

what did bush do to help her?

Evolution. You should see all the homeless people here. The people in their little rich towns don't see it so they assume everything is okay as long as they are okay.

Yes there are homeless people in the Greatest and wealthiest country of all!!! The land of dreams!!!

Umm, it's not Bush's personal job to help her. That's what friends and family are for.

However, the government does have this thing called student loans. You borrow money at barely above wholesale rates or in some cases, with the gov't subsidizing the interest (ie; you don't pay any).

I'm interested to know what you think Bush should have done to help her? Come over and given her cash out of his pocket? What?

OMG!!! There are homeless people in America?!?!?!

So THAT's what those people in San Francisco are who look unkempt and are begging for money for a 40oz. You mean, they don't just decide when they wake up in their mansions, not to take a shower? Gee, and it took someone from New York City to show us country folk what a homeless person is.

I recently heard that BellSouth was a good internet service provider, so I'm kind of surprised to hear that they don't bundle anti-virus into their package as it is.

It's possible that I've never been hit with a nasty virus, but I've gotten a few viruses before. None have killed my computer. I've always been able to ask around and get the answers I need to deal with the problem.

Also, public libraries here have internet access. That student should be able to use the resources of that government-run facility while figuring out how to rid herself of the virus.

Given a little tax break?

Tried to protect us from illegal immigrants?

Imprisoned anyone they can get their hands on who might have anything to do with terrorism (before they legally or illegally immigrate here and hatch a terrorist plot)?

Started up the war machine in order to boost the economy?

Doesn't seem like much help to the average college student, I agree. College is tough to afford here on your own.

Eleanore,

you said:

If you're all about being giving and unselfish, and helping other people of other countries out, then why is most of the world and particularly the parts of teh world you are "liberating", mostly anti-America?
