There are two points to this story.

The first by the Canadian gentleman is obvious and noted.

The second point is that we will never stop terrorism by the use of force as is noted in the Afghani woman's statements. The use of force and killing innocent peoples only breeds more hate which in turn only breeds more and more terrorists. Cause and effect is something that no one can deny because the whole universe operates on that principal. The only way to solve the problem of terrorism is to address the root causes.

Just as we love our own countries we have to realize that the people's of the Middle East feel the same way about their own countries.

I agree, but at this point, in order to find the root cause and stop it from occuring, we'd have to go back in time, and we're not able to do that - so, that's nice and all, but it doesn't help the immediate problem.

What do we do with the terrorists that are currently wreaking havoc on the world? The ones who are already brainwashed to "love death", and be martyrs so they can get their 40 virgins in Heaven? What do we do about them? Give them all full frontal lobotomies?

And that is why we need to have the guts to finish a mission and root them out of all their hiding places.

Innocent people are not all killed by American's most are killed by insurgents. Thousands were killed by terrorists before we even went to help.

It is too easy and too much of a cop out to state that the Afghani woman is right because our forces being over there is just like a terrorist crashing a plane into the twin towers and we should leave so no more people die.

Give me a damn break. MANY people are warm and receptive yet ONE person makes a glaring accusation.

Mirandee doesn't see the multitude that support the effort -only the ONE that supports her hate for our government and Military forces (ALL coalition forces).

Great Post Lioneye.. It is always refreshing to see the other side.

Personally, I'd like to see the troops out of some areas. Why should one of our guys die for a country that supports terrorism (by that I mean all coalition fighters)?

See our Liberals don't quite understand why we support the war. Terrorism is like cancer that has the potential to spread throughout the body. The only way to stop it is through aggressive treatment - sometimes that makes the person sick, sometimes other cells are killed - but you have to wipe it out or if not caught in time the whole body dies.

No doctor sits out to destroy the other organs in the body, nor are they on some mission to blow out the functions of the body. The treatment is to cut out, remove and put into remission the cancer. It is to return the body to a healthy state.

That same is true with the war effort- but the world is the body and the terrorist are cancer cells hiding throughout the body.

Killing 10 terrorists is not even close to equaling the loss of one of our Soldiers. Not even 100 of those evil bas*tards could amount to the strenth and courage of the men and women fighting in the M.E.

Still, it has to be done and for some reason many of the lefties would rather see terrorists live, regroup and wreak havoc on another country, another city, while commiting genocide of other people... while we sit back and sing songs of peace.

And when it happens to us again.. what do we do? Send happy thoughts and bear hugs while hoping we didn't say something that brought it on and make them angry? We aren't battered women here... we're a country and we aren't about to make excuses for people that attack us...

Then again.. one must believe THEY attacked us and not the famous liberal theory that our government did it to ourselves.
