Israeli bombing kills 54 in Qana, LebanonIsrael said it mistakenly bombed a building near a Hezbollah rocket-launching site in Qana, Lebanon, on Sunday where at least 54 people died, including 19 children. The Red Cross said the Qana airstrikes hit a residential building for refugees, which Israel said was near Hezbollah rocket launching sites. More than 54 bodies were pulled from the building’s remains.

The Leagues of the Righteous People IED attack on Humvee
The Leagues of the Righteous People, a Shi'ite Iraqi Insurgency group, released a video of an improvised explosive device (IED) on an American Humvee in al-Naseriya, Iraq. The Humvee can still be seen traveling at full speed after the blast and then driving off the road at fullspeed.

Sniper attacks US soldier in Fallujah
A video was released on an internet website frequented by insurgents today showing a sniper attack on a US soldier in the Iraqi city of Fallujah. According to a statement released by the insurgency group, the attack killed the soldier and it took place Monday morning at 9:00 am local time. The Islamic Army in Iraq is a domestic Sunni group that has stated its goal is to drive US forces out of Iraq. The have tried to distance themselves from al-Qaeda and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

In this video, a secondary IED detonates very near troops as they assist an Iraqi tank clear the aftermath of an earlier vehicle borne improvised explosive device (VBIED). Secondary explosive device can be set to detonate by timer, remote control or through direct accidental triggering (booby trap).
