Is everyone going to see this movie, if not read the book, the book has been out way before the movie was ever thought of. So tragic, and to think that Miss (Elizabeth)Short's killer was not and may never be ultimately penalized.

"Short was last seen alive on the evening of January 9, 1947, in the lobby of the Biltmore Hotel at 5th Street and Olive in downtown Los Angeles. She was 22 years old.

On January 15, 1947, her body was discovered in a vacant lot of the 3800 block of South Norton Avenue in the Leimert Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, cut in half at the waist and mutilated. She was interred in Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland rather than Medford because her oldest sister lived in Berkeley and because she loved California.

This unsolved murder has been viewed as emblematic of the perception of Los Angeles as a dystopia"

A dystopia (alternatively, cacotopia[1], kakotopia or anti-utopia) is a fictional society that is the antithesis of utopia.

A dystopia is usually characterized by an authoritarian or totalitarian form of government, or some other kind of oppressive social control.

This is a completely creepy event. There was so much to the crime scene, yet there was almost nothing in the way of evidence.

Have you had a chance to see the pictures? They are gruesome. At one point they thought a friends father did it, but I can't remember where that went.

Due to the nature of the crime, how long it had to take for that precise dissection, this guy had to have done it more than once. I doubt he is even alive. Most serial killers start in their late 20's early 30's and are messy at their first attempts.

He would at least be around 77 at this point.

Josh Harnett is in that movie isn't he? He's a cutey with a body husband, but my hubby has a better build and more meat on it. I like the lean bods with nice legs (hee hee... lucky for me Mr. Leo has that soccer player bod). Yummmmy.

Sorry.. didn't mean to distract from the original title...

I will watch it.. with Bear, when it comes out on DVD (I'm a scardy cat at watching scary movies, but I can read serial killer profiles / books forever).
